Drowning

Otis was out on his little boat a mile away from land. He hadn't meant to go so far, but he has to say it was quite fun drifting out. The currents were powerful out here so it'll be hard to get back ashore, Otis didn't really care about any of that though.

The sky make look clear at a certain angle, but there was in fact a storm closing in. Looking at the beautifully blue-green sea Otis didn't notice the storm getting closer to his raft-like boat. He was far too caught up in his deliriously unrealistic daydreams.

Heavy rain started pouring out of the sky causing the boat's occupant to finally notice it. Otis had no idea what to do, he had only taken the boat out a handful of times and he never went this far out before.

The rain was coming down hard it was like a never-empty bucket kept continuously getting poured out of the sky. Must have been a big bucket, Otis thought.

The droplets came down quick enough and in such huge amounts that the boat began to overflow with water. The excess water in the small wooden contraption affected the boat in such a way that it began to sink, leaving Otis "rescuer" to take him to land.

A/N: I really need to stop writing about people dying
