"Yesterday was absolutely amazing!! I had so much fun..but the greatest part of the entire concert.. was having Solar look in my direction. No..not just look, but point directly at me! It was like a dream.."
"You're such a fanboy, you know that right?"
I couldn't help but shoot a glare at my coworker in response
"Fuck off-"
He started to laugh at my annoyance.
As much as I enjoyed that concert, I couldn't help but feel exhausted, not just mentally but physically too. So any excitement that I carried on from yesterday will probably die through the day. I mean it can only last for so long, especially since I get to spend another seven to nine hours at this damn coffee shop. Which to my dismay means more orders then leads to more and more angry customers...I don't get it, why can't they just respect-
DINGGGGGG
Ugh, that dreadful bell. Sigh. Time to put on the customer service voice- cmon..you can do it..
"Hello! Welcome to Kat's Cafe. What can I get for you today?" I smiled as best as I could, but to my surprise, it was the man in the fancy hat again.
"Hey! Nice to see you again."
What I wanted to tell him is I'm not happy to see you, but that would have been extremely rude of me and it probably would get me fired- But I swear if I wasn't at work right now, I would have just told him to simple fuck off.
"Hey- nice to see you too..- What can I get for you today?"
"I'll take the same thing I had yesterday." He gave a cunning grin, which made me feel a bit uneasy at first
But my coworker shot me a look which forced me to give an awkward smile back.
"Alright, that will be-" I was interrupted
"$5.86, I know." He handed me the money, and walked off.
Since I was the only one who knew how to make this "special" drink, I had to leave the cash register and go prepare it.
If my boss found out I was serving special orders I would be dead right now.
As usual I started with the brewing the coffee, then going to mix the milk together. By that point, the coffee was usually done, but just in case it wasn't, I went and got the other ingredients. Such as, the whipped cream, pie crust, and the blueberry and chocolate sauce. I poured the coffee into the cup, and then let it sit for a second before adding the blueberry and chocolate sauce. Of course, last but not least, I finished putting all the extra toppings on the drink.
"Here you are Sir!"
"Thanks so much!"
"You're welcome, have a nice-" once again the man interrupted me. Honestly, It's kind of getting old- even though I just got to know this guy.
"Hey, what's your name..-?" He awkwardly started to scratch the back of his head, then looked away quickly attempting to avoid eye contact.
No one's ever asked me that before, or no one's ever cared to at least, so it caught me a bit off guard. Which then caused me to stutter-
"My name-? Oh- it's um- Kageyama...Kageyama Tobio." My voice cracked a bit at the end, which was so fucking embarrassing.
I covered my mouth quickly as soon as it happened.
"Pft..Well, Kageyama, do you want to.. umm.I don't know maybe hang out after your shift?"
Hang out-? I just met this guy yesterday, and he already wants to get to know me-?
...
