Chapter 44: Funerals & Other Surprises

I pull the dress on and look into the mirror.  I sigh as I turn my back on the mirror.  Dally and Gray walk in as I start to pull on my shoes.  I smile softly at them and they smile back as Gray speaks.

"Grandpa is here."  I roll my eyes as I hear his voice come through the open doorway.  I walk out of the room and down the hallway to see my ex father-in-law and ex sister in law glaring at my mates.  I walk up to them as Jack, the ex-in-law speaks.

"They can't be there."  I glare at him.

"They will be my sons want them there."  He opens his mouth to reply as all three of my mates straighten.  Jack shuts up while ex sister-in-law snorts at me and walks back out the door.

The funeral lasts about an hour or so.  The boys stand outside by the graves with tears streaming down their faces as I hug them close.  My ex in laws watch us from a safe distance as I say my own goodbye.

"I promise that they will grow into beautiful people in this new life with us.  It won't always be safe but we have people watching our backs."  That said I tilt my head back and howl.  The pack that is there, my mates, and the boys do the same.  One for all.

I sit in Rain's lap as I watch Dally turn for the first time.  My hands clench every time he writhes in pain but finally it's over and everyone shifts but Rain and I.  We watch in amusement as Gray and Dally leap and playfight for hours while we listen out for the other kids.  When Dally comes up and licks my face I laugh and push him away as everyone starts to shift back.  We head back into the house to the library.  Bain lights the fire in the fireplace as Griff sets out snacks.  The boys set down on bean bags chairs as someone knocks on the front door.  Brick and Gunner walk in with drinks as I speak.

"I met Eddie first.  He was being bullied and it pissed me off so I walked up and kicked the shit out of them.  We became immediately friends.  We met Mack in fourth.  We were playing tackle football and I tackled him and broke his leg.  We weren't allowed to play tackle football anymore.  We did everything together which was weird cause Eddie was sneaky on revenge tactics and Mack just wanted to beat people's asses when they pissed us off.  I was more in the middle depending on my mood."

"Your broke him?"  I look at Griff.

"I can't remember the rules for football for shit but I love to tackle the shit out of people.  I just broke his leg.  He was fine though he never played football with us again."   The boys laugh as we continue into the night telling stories.

I wake up naked on top of Bane as he caresses my ass.  I smile at him before kissing his cheek and sliding off to go to the bathroom.  As soon as I finish peeing I feel my stomach churn and I find myself throwing up.  Brushing my teeth I shuffle back to bed, forgetting about it.  When I wake up again, snuggled between Griff and Rain I'm fine and it takes my mind a moment to process this.  I sit straight up causing Rain to tumble off the bed as Griff asks me what's wrong.  I shake my head and shield my thoughts as I shuffle out of the room to the kitchen to help with breakfast.  

With Pebbles on my hip I go about setting up breakfast as the kids file into the room.  I smile as Rain takes over the breakfast while I place Pebbles in her high chair.  I ruffles Dally's hair as he talks to Gunner about shifting later and running around.  My mind bounces back and forth as I fight to pretend everything is normal.  Two hours later I make a quick trip to the store and I'm back and hiding in the bathroom.  I look down at the stick and blink back the tears that threaten to fall.  I'm pregnant.  Just how are my new mates going to take this?  I sigh and hide in the bathroom for another twenty minutes before looking for the guys. 

 I walk into the living room to see them watching an anime on the tv with the kids.  I grin as they look up at me.  My smile falters as I take a deep breathe, unsure of their reaction.

"I'm pregnant."  All three of them are in front of me before I can take a  breathe and start swinging me around in circles.  After ten minutes of this I threaten puking to get them to stop.  Rain places a hand on my cheek as he looks at me intently.

"Are you ok with this?"  I smile at his worries.

"I'm a little freaked out because of what happened last time not to mention the complications I had last time."  He smiles and caresses my cheek with his thumb.

"Most shifters don't have a lot of complications with pregnancies and they only last six months."  I raise a brow as Griff and Bane give me a group hug from behind.  I laugh and cuddle into them.  I notice Rain clutches me a little tighter.

Later that night Rain and I lay naked in our bed as we listen to Bane and Griff going at it in the shower.  I notice Rain seems to want to play but he's afraid to start it as rubs on my belly and avoids meeting my eyes but I notice his dick is hard.

"Rain?"  He looks into my eyes as animalistic grunts come from the bathroom.  I smile at him as I stretch my hands up and grip the head of the bed.  Rain's eyes shift as he growls at me.

"I'm feeling a little wild right now Emmy."  I smile at him as I grip the board tighter.

"Rain you can be as wild with me as you want."  He rolls so he's on top of me staring down, his dick rubbing my stomach.  His voice is low and gravelly as his ears and tails pop out.

"I moved your mirror so you could watch baby."  He tilts the mirror as Rain shoves into me as Bane shoves into him.  I groan at the sight as Bane growls and I look back to Griff.

"We're going on a date today."  I open my eyes and stare up at Griff as I nod.

Three hours later we're at a restaurant and food is being served.  It's surprisingly delicious as we chat and hang out.  When Bane sets down his fork so do Griff and Rain.  Then Bane speaks as music starts to play in the background.  I immediately recognize the song from Hawaii 5-0 as Bane, Griff, and Rain get out of their chairs and get down on one knee before speaking as one.

"We'll you marry us?"  I smile as tears slide unabashed down my cheeks.

"Hell yes I will.  Make me yours."  Rain smiles as he speaks.

"Be our Luna."  Then Griff speaks.

"Be our wife."  Then Bane speaks.

"Be our Queen."  Who can say no to that?

"Forever and always.  Hell yes I will."
