5000 thousand years ago a young Pharaoh battled a great evil. The young Pharaoh defeated the evil by using an extremely powerful magic spell to seal both himself and the evil within the Millennium puzzle, using his name as the key to the spell and erasing his own memories to keep the spell from ever being used to return the evil to life ever again. The millennium puzzle was placed in the tomb of the Pharaoh, but there was a young lady who wanted to get the Pharaoh back at all costs. But this came with a price.

A young lady who was a childhood friend of the Pharaoh saw what he was going to do and begged him not to sacrifice himself, but we all know he did.

What happend:

I saw Pharaoh run to his horse to face this evil. "Please, don't go! There must be another way!" I shouted to the pharaoh. "You know like me that my job is to fight this evil Alina!" the Pharaoh called back and jumped on his horse. "Let me help you! You don't have to do it alone I.. I will go with you" I yelled before he could drive away. The Pharaoh stopped and looked at me "I don't want anything to happen to anyone else, especially the ones I care about so very much! Be safe Alina" he looked at me gave me a small smile and then road away on his horse. I fell to my knees and cried. Mahad and Mana arrived not much later and I told them what the Pharaoh was going to do.

After we knew that the Pharaoh had conquered the evil that treated or land we went in search of him. Days passed and still no trace of the Pharao to be found. Priest Seto, whom Atem had abdicated the throne to, had found the puzzle and with that she knew the Pharaoh was no more. Everyone was grieving for their lost Pharaoh. Alina was sad that her bestfriend was gone, but somehow she felt he was still there somewhere and she would get him back even if it took her life to get him back.

Priest Seto had arranged the funeral and had the millennium puzzle shattered, as in accordance with Atem's final instructions, had any and all signs of his name erased. The pieces of the Millennium Puzzle were placed in a box and would be placed in Atem's tomb.

"Seto wait" I started after I saw that he wanted to put the Millenium puzzle in the box to bring to the tomb of the Pharaoh he looked at me with a look that said of go ahead. "Can I hold the puzzle for on moment please? It's the last thing left of him, everything that remind people of him is to be pit away.. like he never existed" I started to say with tears in my eyes. Seto softened his gaze he new how much the pharaoh meant to her and handed the bag containing the puzzle pieces. He put a hand on her shoulder "Take your time, I now how much he meant to you. Say your goodbye" with that Seto left the room, I took the puzzle pieces out of the bag and started to cry. I took it piece by piece in my hands and looked after it. I wanted to put the puzzle back together, but new I was not allowed to do that

"Why did you have do this alone, why couldn't I come with you, I should have just followed you, maybe I could have saved you" I said in a broken voice. Atem meant more to me than just a friend I loved him and now he was gone. "I know what spell you used and I will get you back Atem. After a while just sitting there and looking at the puzzle pieces I put them all the back in the bag. The last piece depicting the eye of Horus I held in both hands and brought it over my heart while crying "here and now I pledged my vow, You sacrificed yourself that we might live, I here pledge to you that my soul shall not rest until I can take you back home. Your body is no more but your soul is wandering somewhere, I will find you and I will take you home" I said with my eyes closed as a tear ran down my cheek and fell on the piece of the puzzle. What I didn't realize was that the piece of the puzzle in my hands started to light up for a few seconds. My vow was now accepted by the millennium puzzle and a piece of myself now connected to this one piece. After I said my final goodbye I put the last piece of the puzzle in the bag and put it in the box. I walked out of the room and saw Seto who gave me a small smile "Don't promise something that you can not accomplish. As much as we would like to, our Pharaoh is gone" he said and walked in the room I just left.
