Chapter 16~ Sorry

Clary's POV

"Ya Jace, tell eveyone what you did" spat a familiar voice.

I turned aroung to come face to face with Simon!

"Simon!" I chirped. "You're okay!"

"Yup. I have a major headache, but i'll live" he said.

"Sooo" Alec clears his throat. "What did you do, Jace" he asks, turning to face him.

Jace scoffs. "I didn't do shit. I don't know what their talking about"

"Bullshit!" Yells Simon.

"Simon." I say as gently as I can, while I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Why is Sebastian still here??" Asks Jace, trying to change the subject.

"Can someone just tell us what Jace did!" Yells Isabelle, in frustration.

"Fine" huffs Simon.

"Simon" I say, I'm a warning tone. "What?!" He asks. "Their going to find out, sooner or later"

I open my mouth to say something back, but Luke beats me to it. "Clary, we need a steele"

"Huh?" I reply, as I whirl my head to look at Luke sitting on the ground, with my mother on his lap.

Shit.

Mom!

I'm such a terrible daughter!! She got bit by a demon, and I forgot!!

I gasped and ran to her side. "Crap! Mom, you okay?! I'm so, so sorry!" I say, as I reach in my boots to take out my steele.

My mom cracks a smile as I keep blabbering 'sorry's'.

I quickly draw an healing rune on her arm, and put my steele back.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" I heard Isabelle scream behind me.

I wince. Dammit Simon.

I look over my shoulder to see Jace turn a bright shade of red, and start to mumble a series of curse words.

I bit inside my cheek to keep myself from laughing.

"OMG! CLARY!! I'm so, so sorry!! I feel so bad! Are you okay?! Do you need a shoulder to cry on!! Do you hate me now? Oh my god! She hates me now! Jace this is all your fault!!" Isabelle blurts.

It's takes a few seconds till I'm done gaping at her. "I-i don't hate you" I say, slowly.

She take a long, deep breath. "Thank god!" I chuckle at her expression.

I look over her shoulder to see Alec slapping Jace on his shoulder, while swearing at him and Simon was standing there looking at them with a smirk plastered on his face.

The only thing missing was Sebastian.
