I was sitting outside with Eld and Gunther.
"That's insane isn't," I said as we talking about the ODM gear.
"How many cadets are crazy enough to join the regiment with the highest casualties. Any ideas Ana?" Eld asked me.
"No there was pretty much none when I was there. You better ask eren," I said.
"Hey, Eren," Gunther yelled. "You know if anyone in your class is thinking about joining us?" He asked.
"Yeah there are a few. Or at least there were. I'm really not so sure now," he said.
"Fall in," someone yelled we stood up saluting.
"Make ready people we are going on patrol," Levi said.
"Yes sir," Eld and Gunther said
"Good morning, captain! Reporting for duty," Eren said.
"Eren. You will stay within 10 meters of me at all times. The only reason that your out of your cell is because I'm keeping an eye on you understood," Levi asked.
"Yes sir," Eren said.
"Can I go Levi," I asked he nodded.
"Let's ride," levi said. We all grabbed are horses following him.
"Levi Levi guess what," I said.
"What is it brat," he said.
"They are picking tonight. Isn't exciting," I said.
"Yay," he said rolling his eyes.

Patrol went well and we are now looking over the plan.
"Reminded Eren to finish cleaning," Levi said.
"Ok," I said running off.
"Hey Ana," Eren said as I ran into the stable.
"Hey, levi told me to remind you to finished cleaning," I said.
"I just did come on," he said. "Oluo May I be excused to talk to my friends for a minute," he asked.
"Fine just don't take to long. Ana keep him in line," he said
"Got it," I said running off with Eren.
"Eren," Mikasa said.
"Hey Ana," Armin said.
"Hey you guys decided to join the scouts," I said as mikasa questioned eren.
"Yeah," he said.
"Hey eren Ana," I heard. I turned.
"Guys," I said hugging them.
"If all of you are here. Dose that mean your joining the scouts," Eren asked.
"Well yeah why else would we be here," Conny asked.
"Of course," Eren said.
"So Jean and Marco joined the MP good for them," I said smiling. We turned around to see Jean. "JEAN," I yelled jumping and hugging him.
"Hey AnAn," He said then saying me down.
"Hey what's wrong," I asked stepping back.
"Marco is dead," he said.
"Your joking," me and Eren said.
"He can't be I saw him not that long ago what are you talking about," I said.
"I wish I could tell you he died noble or heroically. Truth is I don't even know how he went off," Jean said and with that I ran off. Tears were running down my face he can't be. I ran into the castle bumping into someone.
"Hey watch- Ana?" he asked confused. "What's wrong," he asked. I could form words I couldn't believe it.
"He-he's-levi," I cried.
"Shh it's fine just come with me," he said I nodded. I followed him to a room I'm guessing is his office. "Ok calm down so we can talk," he said I just continued to cry. He sighed then hugged. "There's no need to cry," he says as he runs his hands through my hair. It was quite he was just running his fingers through my hair it was nice but I can't believe it how why him.
"I-I'm sorry," I cried.
"Shut up idiot," he said. "Just talk when your ready," he said picking me up and setting me on the couch and covering me with his cape. After a while I could finally talk.
"He's dead Levi he died," I said as tears streamed down my face. There was a knock he got up walking to the door.
"What is it," he asked stepping outside. I couldn't heard what was said but he soon came back in and sat with me. We sat there till there was a knock. He got up again walking outside for a minute then returned with 2 tea cups. "Here it's black tea," he said.
"Thank you," I said sipping it.
"You can take a nap or what ever you'd like. I'm going to do paper work. I'm right there if you need anything," he said.
"Thank you," I said. I laid there staring at the celling. He's really gone. I won't get to hear all his advice, his laugh, how long it takes him to understand some jokes, or his smile. In one of the letters he said he was going to join to scouts to make a difference in the world. He wanted to leave behind a mark. I always thought he would do great. "He would have done great," I whispered.
"Get some rest we can talk about it later," he says i nodded. He put his cape over me then went and sat back down.
Levi's pov
Once i saw she was asleep i got up and walked out. I found eren.
"Eren," i called.
"Captain," He said saluting.
"What happened with Ana," i said.
"On of the cadets from training died," he said quietly.
"This cadet and ana were close i'm assuming," i asked.
"Yes sir. She spent the most time with him and Jean out of everyone there," He said.
"Ok," i said walking off back to my office to see she was awake.
Ana's pov
"You're awake," levi said walking in.
"Yes," i said setting up he sat next to me.
"Do you want to talk about it," he asked.
"Marco that was his name. He was planning on joining the scouts. He was kind and got along with everyone he talked to. You would have liked him i mean i think. We were great friends," I said.
"I'm sure he was great," he said.
"No one saw him die. No one knows what happens. His family will never get to see him. He will never even get a funeral," I said tearing up. He just hugged me. "You're being really nice right now," I muttered. "Why are you," I asked.
"I know the feeling losing someone," he said.
"Thank you. I'm going to go get food," i said. He nodded and I got up leaving.
