Becca and Sam were proudly proving their friends wrong. Despite the distance, they were just as in love and were just as strong as ever.  Did the distance suck? Yes. They won't deny there was some truth in what their friends were telling them. But they made sure to make time for each other.

They talked to each other and made time to visit but it was all in secret.

Did they think that their friends would've stopped them? No. But they didn't want the judgmental looks or them feeling guilty. They just wanted to be together and everything was going fine. For awhile, none of them knew.

Until one day, Becca was on the train back to her apartment from Lima. During her weekend with Sam and their son, she was spent answering Kurt and Blaine's weird questions about 'where x was' in the apartment. She didn't understand what was going on until Blaine called her.

Turns out, Kurt and Blaine broke up.

Their conversation was short because Blaine had just finished moving his stuff out and was chilling at Artie and Kat's apartment. All he wanted was sleep after the weekend of sobbing.

Not knowing everything, Becca quickly made her way to Bushwick, planning some things for her roommate. "I just found out what happened, "she said, dropping her stuff on the ground. Not caring about unpacking, she hugs him.

"It's fine," he wipes his eyes. "We were just doing the trail run of living together and failed. You heard us, we were always fighting... I still love him and I want to be with him... But I know if we kept it up, we would just end up hating each other."

"You don't know that."

"I do. You see all those couples that constantly fight and end up hating each other and there marriage is all based on hate. You know we both make fun of the 'I hate my wife' Boomers."

"Maybe you just needed time apart," Becca suggests. "Together but apart."

Thing was, they tried it. They tried it when Blaine was in McKinley and Kurt in New York and again when they were both in New York in seperate apartments. "And no, you living her was not why we fought," Kurt explains, figuring that was what she was thinking... It was. "Frankly you were a mediator most of the time... And don't take this the wrong way, but at times you were so quiet or working on something that there were moments I forget you lived here."

"Ear Plugs."

"Well hold onto those still," he softly laughed. "Because as heartbroken I am about Blaine and I, you and I are two single people in New York City. We can go on dates. Explore ourselves. We can set each other up with hot people. Live out our fantasies."

Becca was faced first hand on why you don't keep big secrets from your best friend. "Aren't you moving on from Blaine really quickly?" she diverts, "You both were engaged and I think it's the healthy thing for you to not get back into the game so quickly."
