A New Customer | Chapter 1

Today was like every other day, slow. People would come in at their usual times to get their usual food and drinks. The same people, the same things, the same times, it was almost like Kris was in a time loop or something. You just begin to doze off while looking at the clock and how slowly it was moving.

Asriel: Boo!

Kris: Ah! Asriel!

Asriel laughed as you playfully hit him on the shoulder, you just sighed and continued to stay quiet.

Asriel: Mondays can't be that bad can they?

Kris: Ugh, I hate it, not as much as I hate you.

Toriel (in the back): Now now kids, play nice.

Kris: Yes mom.

Toriel poked her head around the corner to see a glum Kris.

Toriel: What's wrong? You've never been this glum on a Monday.

Kris: It's just the same thing over and over again, the same people, the same things, the same times. Can't something else-

*Ding*

The doorbell rang and someone new came in, Kris cracked a small smile and Toriel let them take care of the order with Asriel doing his own thing. The mysterious figure draped in a green robe, green hat, and green walked over to the counter where Kris was waiting to serve them.

Kris: Hello, welcome to Dreemurr's cakes and coffee, what can I get you sir?

Ralsei: Hello! Well I don't really know, I never really been to a coffee shop before. What do you have?

Kris: We have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, doughnuts, cake obviously-

Ralsei: Hehe!

Kris: Haha, yeah, it's in the name, but anything bakery related we probably have.

Ralsei: Hmm, lots of choices then! I'll just take a hot chocolate and carrot cake please.

Kris: Hm, very interesting combination, never heard that one before, everyone just orders black coffees with a glazed doughnut.

Ralsei: Oh, well thank you! I guess I am different from others then!

Kris: Yep, so hot chocolate and carrot cake, got it. Name?

Ralsei: Yes I have one thank you.

Kris: *sigh*

Toriel (in the back): Nice one!

Ralsei: Oh, well thank you!

Kris: You know what, i'll let that one pass, it's not everyday I get a customer that can tell jokes. But I need your name to put it on the ticket, are you eating in or taking it out?

Ralsei: Why would I take it out? It's just food, I don't love it that much.

Kris: Ok, that one was pretty funny, no one has said that before.

Ralsei: Aw, thank you!

Kris: So eat in then?

Ralsei: Yes please.

Kris: Name, and yes I know, you already have one.

Ralsei: R-Ralsei.

Kris: Ralsei? Huh, what a... nice name.

Toriel (in the back): Stop flirting!

Asriel: *Sniker*

Kris: I'm not flirting mom! I'm just complimenting his name! Sorry, she can judge things too easily.
