Kris works in a family coffee shop with their brother and mom, and everyday feels the same to them, until someone new comes in.

Kris: Yeah... got the flu... it's a human illness... it's the worst...
Toriel: Oh sweetie, should I come over with some homemade soup?
Kris: No... wouldn't want you getting it... i'll be fine...
Toriel: Ok, well just call me if you need anything and i'll be right over, rest well sweetie.
Kris: Mhm...
Kris called in "sick" and Toriel ended the call, now it was time to call Ralsei.
Ralsei: Hey babe~
Kris: *cough* What?
Ralsei: Oh my gosh, you sound horrible.
Kris: Got the flu... human illness...
Ralsei: Oh, does that mean you won't be at work for the next couple of days?
Kris: Mhm...
Ralsei: Oh, well I hope you get better soon, should I come over?
Kris: No... wouldn't want you getting it...
Ralsei: Ok, well get better soon, let me know if you need anything.
Kris: Mhm...
Ralsei: Talk to you soon.
Kris: Mhm... love you...
Ralsei: Love you too.
Ralsei ended the call and as soon as he did Kris got out of bed to get their breakfast. Once Kris had their breakfast they had to wait for the materials to arrive and when they did they were playing the piano to get better. An hour later the materials arrived and Kris started to design the mask, and many hours in they were half way done though the mask they had their lunch and tried the cloak on after the dye might have ruined it. But no, the cloak was fine, that was when they heard a knock on the door and when they looked through the peephole no one was there.
Kris opened the door acting sick just in case anyone was watching and there was a box dropped at the door. Kris hadn't ordered anything and all the stuff they did order had already arrived. They sat on the sofa and opened the box, they then saw a card and lots of different objects, Kris opened the card and read what it said.
Kris: "Dear Kris. We hope you get better soon, this illness sounds very bad and we hope you can pull through, get well soon and thank you for your wonderful service at the coffee shop. Love from all monsters." Oh damn, now I kinda feel bad for lying, they genuinely think I have it and think it's something serious. I mean, the flu is serious but I don't really get it because I have my injections, let's see what they sent.
Kris looked at the objects and saw a recipe for soup, a hand knitted blanket, water from the fresh stream, a purple and red flower, a joke book, a spaghetti recipe, a blue spiked bracelet, and a drawing of Kris fighting the illness off with a sword and shield. The drawing shield made Kris laugh as they would never think of fighting the flu off with a goddamn sword so they gave Ralsei a quick call.
Ralsei: Hi Kris! What can I do for you?
Kris: That drawing... amazing...
Ralsei: Aww! Thank you Kris! I worked very hard on it and I had to research what the illness looked like.
Kris: I can tell...
Ralsei: Well i'm glad you like it! What do you think about the other stuff?
Kris: It's... interesting... the blanket is super soft...
Ralsei: I think Toriel made that, no idea when she had the time.
Kris: Right... well tell everyone thanks... for the stuff...
Ralsei: Yep! I'm glad you liked it!
Kris: Miss you...
Ralsei: Aw, I miss you too, we could video call if you want.
Kris: Nah... I look terrible... you would not want to see me like this...
Ralsei: Oh, well don't worry, I know you can pull through.
Kris: Ralsei... it's not as serious as you think... it's not like cancer... it's just a cold with extra symptoms...
Ralsei: Oh, well I hope you get better either way.
Kris: Mhm... love you...
Ralsei: Love ya too, see you soon.
Kris ended the call and got some water as it killed them doing that sick voice. They got the rest of the stuff out the box and looked at all of it, they felt kinda bad but the monsters had no idea what the flu was so they didn't feel that guilty for taking it. Once they were done sorting through all the stuff they continued making the mask.

(This is what the mask and robe looks like, the reason there is no suit is because you can't see it under how dark the robes are.) (Also do not judge, I am terrible at pixel art, I just thought it would be cool to actually make it.)
Kris posted the picture in the mirror and they positioned it so no one could see the background and just 1 minute later Kris got a call from Ralsei.
Ralsei: Kris!
Kris: Ow... bit loud...
Ralsei: Oh, sorry.
Kris: What is it?
Ralsei: Did you see Kacey's new post?
Kris: No... why?
Ralsei: She just posted what she's going to be wearing at the Q/A and it's amazing! It looks so high quality! She must have lots of money.
Kris: Yeah... lots.
Ralsei: You should see it, it looks very good, I might even draw it.
Kris: (It's that good!?) Wow... must be good if you're going to draw it... i'll check it in a bit...
Ralsei: Cool.
Kris: Was that all you wanted to talk about?...
Ralsei: Well I would like to talk to you more, as i've missed you, but I don't want to ruin your beautiful voice more.
Kris: It's fine... we can talk over text...
Ralsei: Ok!
Ralsei excitedly ended the call and talked to Kris about Kacey, it made them smile that they were such a big fan of them and smiled when they looked over at the outfit. During the talk Kris checked everyone's reactions to the outfit and everyone seemed to love it, Kris just thought to themselves how they kept winning the hearts over so many people.
Kris was then called on their business phone, and it was the local news station asking for "Kacey" to come on tomorrow. Kris happily agreed and when it was announced Ralsei got excited over it like he usually would. But after a lot of texting back and forth, both of them called it a night and went to bed.
