"Hiya princess"

"Oh for fuck sake."

"Now is that any way to talk to the guy who gave you back the most important thing in your life."

His ego just keeps getting bigger. How does someone's attitude change so quickly? I thought he was nice. "Yes, yes it is."

He smiles up at me and I look down at his hands. He's reading. He's reading The Choice for god's sake. I can't believe this. He does not seem the type to read a book. Let alone a memoir. He's too cool for that. He sees me staring at the book in shock.

"What?" He asks furrowing his eyebrows.

I looked down at the confused look on his face, I gulped "just didn't think you could read."

He scoffs at me. I'm sitting at the window. He's in the middle. How do I get across.

"Um could you get out so I can get in please?" I ask very politely. Trying my absolute best to not blush as he looks straight into my eyes.

His eyes lighten a little, he shuffles and moves up onto his hunkers in the seat. I glare at him while he motions for me to go on with his hand.

Asshole.

I slide my backpack across the floor to the far side before I slide across to my seat. Trying to keep as straight as possible so I don't accidentally stick my ass into him.

I seat down and turn to him "you like making things difficult don't you?"

"No I just like seeing you get flustered." He smiles. That god damn smile. I feel my cheeks heating up. I hate this.

I reach down for my backpack pulling out my own book. I can feel his eyes on me as I look through my bag. Where is my book?

"Looking for something?"

"I can't find my book." I say as I practically tear my bag apart looking for it. I need something to keep me occupied on this flight. I pull out my phone and text Eithne to see if I put my book in her bag.

Me: hey did I put my book in ur bag.

Eithne: what does it look like???

Me: think now, did u pack a book?!

Eithne: good point

I laugh at her stupidity.

"Whats funny," he asks.

I shrug my shoulders, "just my sister."

"At least yours is funny."

"You have a sister?" I ask shocked, because I only seen him after security. There was nobody with him at all.

"Yeah, my family flew out last week but I had to stay for the final." As he tells me this his eyes are cloudy and aren't their usual bright colour. He clears his throat. "Better they left early anyway we hammered the other team it wasn't a good match."

"Oh you won your final, what do you play?"

"Basketball."

"No way!" I say shocked. No body I ever meet plays basketball in Ireland. There is literally one other club in my county. I am so surprised to meet someone who plays the same sport as me.

He laughs at my shocked expression. My jaw is hanging down, mouth wide open. "Why are you so surprised?" He laughs.

"No, it's just, same! I never meet anyone who plays basketball, I was just a bit surprised." I say turning back around in my seat.
