"Ughhh..." the (H/C) haired trainer groaned in exhaustion as they plopped down the last batch of supplies needed for their current camping trip.

After working for the Battle Tree for over six months, Red and Blue decided to go back and visit Kanto during their vacation. Blue had to help Professor Oak with the data he collected back in Alola while Red was traveling around the region with his trusty Pikachu partner and team however, along the way, he bumped into the familiar face of a long time childhood friend, (Y/N).

Initially Red was worried that things would get awkward due to the move but, being the cheerful trainer they are, (Y/N) talked to Red as if they were with the pair in the tropical region for all this time. They retold stories about their experiences as the new gym leader, since they took Blue's spot when he signed up for the Battle Tree. Ranging from wholesome, to funny, to surprising, (Y/N) got it all and Red couldn't help but listen intently to their various stories.

"Seeing that group reminded me of when we were on our own journey." (Y/N) smiled, as they finished their story about a group of young trainers. 'Well, why not we do it again?' Red signed, earning a confused look from the other trainer. "What do you mean by that?" they asked, (E/C) eyes shining in curiosity. 'Well, I remember passing through a campsite back when we were on our journeys. Why not we go camping there?' Red replied as he gave his friend a gentle smile.

"That's a great idea Red!! It's been ages since we've done this together!"

'Blue's busy though so I don't think he can join.'

"That's understandable~ I heard he had a lot of things to discuss with the Professor... I guess it's gonna be just the two of us then!"

Tapping the shoulder of the (H/C) haired trainer, Red snapped (Y/N) out of their small daze. Turning around in surprise, (Y/N) chuckled nervously as they scratched the back of their head. "Sorry about that, just thinking about stuff." they answered, which made the worried gaze of the black-haired trainer turn into a look of relief. 'Wanna set the tents up now?' Red implied as he motioned towards the tent kits. Nodding in agreement, (Y/N) nodded before making their way towards their kit.

While Pikachu and (F/P) were playing, Red and (Y/N) was building their tents. The quiet male encountered no troubles as he assembled the pieces together with ease however, on the other side, a certain (H/C) haired trainer was struggling. Every time they assembled the frame, it would always come loose when they inserted it into the tent's fabric. Sighing in defeat, (Y/N) just continued and prayed that the tension between the frame and the tent itself would be enough to keep it standing. 'How bothersome...' (Y/N) thought as they stood up and made their way to the pins.

Taking the thin metal bars in hand, (Y/N) grabbed a string and used the pin to secure it onto the ground, but another problem rose. No matter how hard they tried, the pins would always bend when they came into contact with any sort of force. It was as if the ground didn't want to be pierced in the first place. (Y/N) tried, and tried, and tried again but at some point they ran out of usable pins. Taking notice of his friend's struggle, Red couldn't help but watch with slight amusement, as seeing (Y/N) grow more and more vocal about their annoyance was a complete juxtaposition to their typical enthusiasm. Groaning in annoyance, this caused Red to snort as he tried to hold in his laugh, but to no avail. This grabbed the attention of the struggling trainer before he made his way towards them.
