Plucky Pennywhistle's Magical Menagerie: Part Three

You ended up cutting the search short since you weren't finding anything in the building that set off the EMF reader. You're not sure what is going on, so before you move forward, you have to do research. You don't want to go into Plucky's without a game plan.

Joanna is content playing with her locks and other toys, Zeus is comfortable with watching her, and you and the brothers are trying to research this monster. Dean is reading his dad's journal, Sam is on his laptop, and you're looking through some of your dad's books.

"Maybe it's a... Tulpa?" Sam says it like a question.

"No, killings are too spread out," Dean shakes his head.

"True. Um... angel?"

"I don't think the God squad would come down here to kill people in their spare time. The only person who did something like this was Gabriel, and he's dead," you sigh.

"Alright. So... what?"

"Yeah, I don't know. I'm tapped out," Dean closes his dad's journal.

"Yeah, same. There's nothing in these books that help. However, we do know where it is because that's where the victims are getting picked up."

"Yeah, but we swept the place last night, and nada," Dean says.

"I can go back and go to the employees, maybe dig up some dirt."

"Wait, you're willing to go back to a place you hate?" you grin. "Who are you and what have you done to my brother-in-law?"

"What good is that gonna do?" Dean speaks up. "They think you're a Fed. The one guy who was gonna rat, he got killed. If anybody knows anything, they're not gonna tell you."

"Alright then that's the plan. I'll go back, play bad cop, and really lean into them."

"And then what?" you ask.

Sam walks to the bathroom to get changed into his Fed suit, but he still talks to you.

"When I'm done, then you two watch them."

"So, if somebody freaks out, then that's our creep?" Dean asks.

"Or he'll lead us closer, and you two can track him."

"What's our cover?" you wonder.

"I don't know. Just hang back. Act normal."

Sam closes the door to get changed, but you can still talk to him since the doors and walls are thin.

"Yeah, yeah. A guy in his thirties hanging out at Plucky's alone—that's normal. That's not pervy at all."

"Who says you'll be alone?" you ask and turn to your daughter. "We're going to Plucky's Joanna!"

She has no clue what is going on, but she hears the excitement in your voice, so she is excited. She squeals in happiness and your heart swells from the love you have for her.

Everyone gets ready to go, and you kiss Zeus' head before you leave as to ending him that you love him so much. You all head to Plucky's in record time, shuffling inside like old people. Sam immediately leaves your side to talk to the manager while you and Dean find a seat at a nearby table. You brought some food for Joanna since you're trying to get her to eat more solid foods. You're trying to wean her off breastfeeding so that Dean and Sam can feed her without you.

"Yummy carrots. You want some carrots?"

Joanna coos in happiness as you feed her the mushy carrots, watching as she plays with her food before eating it. Sam and the female manager are close by, so you're able to hear what they are talking about. Sam walks right up to her and clears his throat loudly even though she was talking to an employee.
