Your heart swells in happiness at the sight before you. Joanna is lying on Dean's chest with him in bed, and he's talking to her as if she understands him and will reply. The fact that he's changed so much over the course of these last few years to become the dad he is today brings you so much joy you can't put it into words. Ever since you stopped breastfeeding her, she has clung to Dean every chance she gets.

She's definitely a daddy's girl, that's for sure.

Today marks her eight-month birthday, and it sucks you can't do more for her. You're stuck in this motel, this stupid town, and you can't even have a party for her. It's not like she'll remember it anyway, but you wish she had kids her age to bond with. Maybe... no, now isn't the right time to be thinking about that. Unless it is and you're overthinking it. You see Dean with Joanna in his hands, but you can't help but imagine two of them there instead of one.

The thought brings a smile to your face.

"Say, Dada. Come on, say dada," Dean says.

Joanna mouths the words, but she can't quite speak it yet. Instead of saying it, she babbles nonsense to him.

"There you go, you're halfway there," he grins.

"I'm going to rub it in your face if she says 'mama' first," you smile.

"She'll say 'dada' first. Just you watch."

You turn to Zeus who is sitting at your feet patiently, waiting for your instruction. You have a bunch of treats you got at the store because you're teaching him some tricks and commands.

"Lay down." You make a motion with your finger that indicates you want him to lay down. Zeus immediately does it, and you grin widely. "Good boy."

You reach out with a treat and he gobbles it up quickly, licking his mouth.

"Okay, Zeus, speak." Once again, you make a motion to go with the command, and he listens, barking loudly in the tiny motel room. "Good job!"

Again, you give him another treat. This is a nice day to spend with family, although you have no idea where Sam is. You haven't heard from him in the past day, thinking he may have needed time on his own. He texted you he'd be back in a couple of days, but you don't mind the extra time to spend with your husband and daughter.

Having an eight-month-old is especially interesting since her bottom teeth have started to grow in already. Her smiles were cute before, but now they're adorable when two tiny teeth peek through. She's so close to walking and talking, you think she is going to do it tomorrow. You just hope that she does it when you have an opportunity to film it with your phone.

With Joanna in both of his hands, Dean sits up on the bed, swinging his legs over the edge. He places one large hand firmly on her stomach and the other over the backs of her legs. He lifts her up in the air and starts to move around the motel room as if she is an aircraft carrier. He makes the noise an airplane would make, and she lets out a string of giggles.

"Watch out below!" he exclaims. He moves her up and then down as if the airplane is crashing the ground below. "It's super baby!"

"You're a dork," you giggle and scratch Zeus behind his ears.

Dean pauses and carefully holds Joanna, staring into her bright green eyes. You knew she would have eyes just like Dean. She's looking more like him each day that she grows, and you can only imagine the kind of woman she is going to be when she's older.

"I want another one," he blurts.

Your head snaps in his direction at his statement in shock. You didn't expect him to say that to you, at least not now. He turns to face you with love in his eyes.
