Ryan's POV:
I just got to town and I'm on my way to the police station.
Willingly this time.
"Ok can I give you guys the keys to my house, so you can unpack?"
"Yeah for sure man."
"Ok thank you. I call dibs on the master bedroom, and my sister gets her old room back. Other than that you guys can take over whatever areas. Also no smoking in the house."
I walked up to the station's front desk.
"Hey Jenny, nice to see you when I'm not wearing those fancy bracelets. Where's my sister?"
"I'll get Sheriff Barrett to come and talk to you first."
"Ok thank you."
"Hey Ryan, you're all grown up."
"Yeah 23. How is she?"
"She's scared and hurt. She won't go to the hospital and I don't think pushing anything too hard is a good idea here. She slept at my house last night, but I don't think she did much sleeping. She's extremely traumatized. She won't talk about what happened."
"Can I see her?"
"Yeah, but I would suggest against physical touch. Are you planning on trying to take custody, or having the state take custody."
"She's Family. I don't have much of that left. I'll be taking custody."
"Ok. Good."
I walked into Barrett's office and she was playing on his phone.
She looks like shit from here.
"Olivia?"
She turned her head to me.
She looked even worse.
But it's her.
It's my sister.
Breathe.
"Hi.." She whispered.
"I've missed you."
"Who are you?.."
And now my heart just shattered.
"I'm your brother. Ryan."
"You don't look like Ryan..." She took a step backwards.
"Wanna see some pictures? I can show you, so you can see it's me."
She nodded.
I showed her pretty all the stages of growing up so she could see it.
"So you're Ryan?" She speaks so quietly.
"That I am."
"Ok.."
"Back at the house your room is still full of your stuff."
"Can we go there?"
I looked at Barrett to see if it was cool.
"Just be expecting a visit from child services soon."
"Will do Boss."
"I'll be checking in ok?"
