It's been a few days since the date night. I've been catching up on work, applying for more jobs and visited my apartment to start clearing everything and discussing my leave with my landlord. I've also blocked Alex's number.
Just keeping myself busy as much as possible so there isn't a time where I can think. It is helping. I think.
No, I just need to stop talking and thinking about what happened. I'll be fine then.

'I'll be home by five, if you need anything just call me' Scarlett takes her keys and kisses me on the forehead.

'Of course, see you later' I nod my head and she drags her hand down my arm to my hand as she walks away, then let's go. I wait for the door to close signalling that she's left and my smile immediately fades. I don't know how to describe how I'm feeling. I just...I just haven't been happy.

I decide to go back to my apartment and clear some stuff out, Mom said that she'd be happy to take some of my furniture so there's no worry about what to do with them.

May just see if she's free so we can get them out today.

I call her number as I grab my keys and make my way to my car.

'Morning hun, how are you?' She brightly questions, even though it's been a week since I found her I still cannot get used to the sound of her voice. How I'm actually hearing it again.

'I'm good. I was just wondering if you were free to pick up some of that furniture today?' I shuffle into the drivers seat, closing the door after me whilst keeping my phone between my shoulder and ear.

'Yes of course! When would you like me to come down?' She asks chirpily as the sounds of shuffling and fumbling come through the phone.

'Well I'm on my way there now and will be there most of the day so it's whenever you're free' I state placing my phone on my lap and tapping speaker, before starting the car engine and pulling out of the drive.

'I can be there in the next half hour' She replies.

'Alright see you there, thank you' I follow as I stop at a red light.

'See you there sweetheart' She then ends the call as I hear the beep of her car through the phone. I slip my phone into my pocket and continue driving. I haven't been in the mood for music these past few days, never mind movies. I don't know what's up with me.

I eventually arrive at my apartment and even though I've already been back here once, for that short period of time, it still hurts to be here. I find myself getting emotional over the entire thing but quickly shut that down before it got out of hand. I look at the sofa and feel that tightness in my chest again but step outside for a moment to calm myself down.

It's just an apartment.

I spend the next ten minutes packing some more things into boxes to fit into my car, such as left over clothes, some things from the kitchen and just some other things that are quite important to me. That's when mom walks in.

'Morning honey, I've brought Carl with a van to take some of the furniture' Carl walks in and gives me a cheery smile, I met him a few days ago, his shiny bald head was hard to miss. He's one of those stereotypical bouncers you see in movies for clubs. If you know you know, but he's a lovely man.

He claps his hands together and rubs them like he's warming them by a fire 'So who's doing the heavy lifting with me?' He winks to me and I roll my eyes smiling.

'We'll both help out' I move a box over on the kitchen counter and walk over to them.

'Could I have the sofa?' She points to it and smiles innocently. My heart stops for a moment. I need to stop being so pathetic.
