Chapter 16: Meeting Darius

[DARIUS:]
"If I was your boyfriend
I'd never let you go
Keep you on my arm, girl
You'd never be alone
I can be a gentlemen
Anything you want"

Darius finished showing the video he had to Meena.

"Wow. That's really great, Darius," Meena said.

"Uh yeah. It's a scene from the last show I was in. I'm sure you heard of it. Hope Against Hope. Gosh, I won every award in town. Uh, the Golden Piccolo for Best Crying, uh, the Archer Newman Award for Outstanding Hair," Darius explained, chuckled while looking in the mirror, then continued, "Uh, yeah yeah yeah. Anyway, my costar, she was just like you, Gina. She was, uh..."

"Uh it's Meena," Meena corrected.

"Excuse me?" he asked.

"My name, it's Meena, not Gina," she repeated.

"Yeah, okay," Darius laughed then said, "In the future, if you could not interrupt me, that would be way better."

"Okay, okay. Let's rehearse," Buster suggested.

So they went off to do that with Jamie, Johnny, and Rosita joining them.

[BOTH:]
"Don't wanna close my eyes"
[DARIUS:]
"Don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I miss you, babe"
[BOTH:]
"And I don't wanna miss a thing"

"No no no no no. Uh, this song isn't helping her at all," Buster said.

Then they changed songs.

[DARIUS:]
"When I saw you in that dress"
[BOTH:]
"Looking so beautiful
I don't deserve this
Darling, you look perfect tonight"

While pitying Meena, Jamie couldn't help but smile at this song.

"Even though I feel really bad for Meena, this takes me back to when you sung this to me," Jamie smiled at Johnny.

"Yeah. That's one of my favorite moments with you," Johnny smiled.

"Same. I also love the videos you put together so it's you doing everything in the song," she replied.

"That was fun," he agreed then told her, "Also, unlike this version, I meant every word."

Jamie smiled and took his hand, saying, "I know."

They then kissed for a minute before cuddling a bit.

Meanwhile, Buster was trying to decide what to do.

"Oh boy," Buster commented.

"So where's Calloway?" Suki asked.

"Uh, he'll be here very soon," he answered.

"Mmm, is that so?" she wondered skeptically.

"It is indeed so. In fact, my trusty assistant Miss Crawly is on her way to meet him right now," Buster smirked.

At that moment, Miss Crawly drive the rental car while listening to "Chop Suey".

[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Wake up"
[MISS CRAWLY:]
"Wake up"
[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Grab a brush and put a little makeup"
[MISS CRAWLY:]
"Makeup"
[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Hide your scars to fade away the shake-up"
[MISS CRAWLY:]
"Doo-doo"
[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Why'd you leave the keys upon the table?"
[MISS CRAWLY:]
"The table"
[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Here you go, create another fable"
[MISS CRAWLY:]
"You wanted to"
[SYSTEM OF A DOWN:]
"Grab a brush and out a little makeup"

"Your destination is on the right," the GPS said.

"On the right. Okay," Miss Crawly nodded then took a sharp turn.

She drove through the brush for a while until she came to a fence that had a sign that said "Keep Out". She got out of the car with the fruit basket in hand and came upon a large gate. She then opened it and went on the property.

"Mr. Calloway? Hello? Is anybody home?" Miss Crawly called.

She then triggered alarms before someone on a motorcycle came out and shot at her with a paintball gun. She ran away from him as he chased her. She then fell at the car, her glass eye popping out in the process.

"Okay, I got you," she said, reaching for it.

But she put an apple in her eye socket and got in her car. She put it in reverse and headed back as the motorcyclist took off his helmet.

"Clay Callo-WAY!" Miss Crawly said then screamed.

She was going faster down the hill then hurled across a bay.

"Oopsie-Daisy," she commented.
