BRONX, NY📍
"You left last night without letting me know where you're going and you didn't come home last night. I have been up all night waiting to hear back from the messages I left you." Monique went off at Xavier as soon as opened the front door.

It was after nine in the morning and Monique was worried sick. She had been sitting on the couch all night waiting for him to come home.

"I needed space and time to think. I have a lot on my mind right now" Xavier sighed and went into the kitchen to get a bottled water from the fridge then walked into the living room and took a seat beside her on the couch.

"Babe if its about the acl surgery everything will be alright." Monique's tone turned soft.

"Monique could we not talk about this right now I'm tired and I'm going to bed and I don't need you to be on my ass every second about it." Xavier snapped.

"Alright you know what if its space that you want I will give it to you." she sighed sitting up from the couch and exited the living room to their room fed up with him.

Xavier sighed and whipped out his phone. He'll give her time to cool down. Right now he got bigger things to think about like the fact that he got a son.

He couldn't lie and say that leaving Diamond  wasn't wrong after she confessed that she was pregnant. He panicked and left. He didn't know what to do in the situation because he was neither ready nor in the right mindset to become a father.

It was hard enough leaving Diamond because she was his first love, but he had to also look out for himself.

A few minutes later Monique walked past him with with her purse over her shoulder ready to go out the front door but stopped and turned around.

"I need the car keys." she held out her hand.

"Where are you going?" Xavier looked up at her.

"I'm getting my hair done by this girl in the city."

"I'm coming with you" he said.

"I didn't ask for you to come" Monique sighed.

"You"re new to the city and I'm not letting you roam it by yoursel" Xavier finalized.

"Fine" Monique rolled her eyes and walked out the front door. She was being moody after they got into into it a few minutes ago, but she knew he still cared about her well being.

Later on in the afternoon Diamond knocked on Sierra's apartment door  with Alex in her arms.

"Cominggg" Sierra shouted from the other side before the opened.

"Hey girl" she smiled. "Hey Alexx" she cooed tickling his stomach which caused him to laugh.

Diamond stepped into the apartment and noticed a young looking girl around the same age as her sitting in a chair in front of the tv with half her head braided.

"Ohh you ain't done yet?" she asked.

"Yeah she took a few breaks that's why" Sierra grimaced.

"I can come back later"  Diamond suggested but she shook her head.

"You can talk with us" she nudged her head over at the girl. " She's nice"

"Ok" Diamond nodded her head.

"Heyy" the girl greeted her.

"Hey" Diamond glanced at her before setting Alex down on the couch and taking a seat herself.

"Monique this my bestfriend Diamond. Diamond meet Monique."

"Cute baby what's his name?" Monique asked.

"Alex" Diamond answered. He was focused on his iPad to even acknowledge that someone said his name.

"I love your hair so far the heart trend is really getting popular nowadays" Diamond told her.

"Thanks and it is frr" Monique replied.

"Anyways Monique fill Diamond in on what happened to you earlier cause best believe niggas ain't shit" Sierra dry laughed and went back to doing her head.

"Giving me headache just thinking about it" she rolled her eyes.

"So my boyfriend didn't come home til around nine this morning right and I ask where he been all night and haven't he seen my calls and blah blah.  Now I'm worried he might be out cheating and stuff you know how it goes" Monique rolled her eyes. "And he basically gave me dry ass responses that led us getting into a fight and all."

"And I'm like you know damn well your man cheating on you because there's no way he can spend a night out alone." Sierra interjected.

"Yeah but I trust him. We've been dating for almost two years."

"That don't mean nothing" Sierra scoffed.

"Yeah until he put a ring on my finger then I know its real and none of these bitches got nothing on me." Diamond said.

"True" Monique agreed.

"Mhmmm" Sierra hummed

"Wait he's texting me right now " Monique checked her phone. "He said he's coming up right now."

"For what?" Sierra asked.

"He's paying for my hair as an apology" she stated.

"Must be nice" Sierra sighed.

"Level three room 348 right?" Monique raised her eyebrows and Sierra nodded her head.

"Cool" she answered.

The front door received a bunch of knocks.

"That must be him" Monique said.

"I'll get it for you" Diamond walked over to the door and opened it.

What. The. Fuck.

She scrunched up her face.

"Xavier" she mumbled.

"Oh shit" Xavier's eyes widened.

Diamond glanced over at Alex on the couch.
