NYC, NY📍"Oh shit" Diamond said under her breath when she saw everyone standing by the door looking at her for an explanation.
"Heyy everybody" Diamond gave them a nervous smile.
"You invited this nigga over" Dre eyed him down.
"So you fucking him now?" Xavier clenched his jaw look at her in disbelief.
"What! No!" Diamond shook her head.
"Diamond I need you to start explaining before I lose my goddamn mind." Ma dry laughed setting Alex from her arms to the floor.
"Ma I had a rough night and—"
"Rough night" Ma raised one of her eyebrows and looked between her and Dre.
"So tell me why you only dressed in nothing but a shirt and that man has no shirt on. Is this man the reason why you forgot to pick up Alex yesterday because that is damn sure irresponsible of you." Ma gave Diamond a stern look folding her arms across her chest.
"Ma it's not like that—Dre I'm really sorry you have to meet my mom like this" Diamond turned to him giving him a look of sympathy.
"Nah its cool I'm gonna head out" he grimaced pointing at the door.
"Don't you need your shirt back?" Diamond scrunched up her eyebrows.
"Nah keep it" Dre looked over at Xavier with his jaw clenched eyeing him like crazy.
"See you later" he gave her a hug and kissed her forehead.
On his way out Xavier bumped shoulders with him hard causing Dre to mug him as he exited the apartment.
"I'm going to change and get ready for the day Ma thanks for dropping Alex off" Diamond gave her a slight nod disregarding the fact that Xavier was standing right next to her.
She knew why he showed up there and honesty she didn't care.
"Diamond I need to talk to you" Xavier said taking a step towards her.
"Mommy can Xavier and I go play" Alex interjected, looking between the both of them.
Diamond stooped in front of him. "Not today Alex"
"But why?" Alex pouted.
Diamond sighed glancing up at Xavier.
"You're not going to be seeing him no more"
"No" Alex huffed wrapping his arms around Xavier's leg.
"Alex its okay I'm not going anywhere" Xavier smiled picking him up.
Diamond sighed squatting up.
"Xavier listen I don't know why you came here because I'm sure I made things clear last n—"
"You left without hearing me out and I tried calling you but no answer."
"That's because I can't find my phone" Diamond told him.
Xavier scrunched up his face. "What do you mean when I called this morning your boyf—"
"It looks like y'all got some things to sort out so I'm gonna leave you two alone" Ma interjected waving goodbye to Alex.
"It was nice meeting you Xavier James and I hope you stand by your word or else were going to have a problem young man" Ma gave him a stern look.
"Yes I won't disappoint you Camille. Your daughter and my son are my top priority."
