As soon as we got a hit, I rushed out of the room without another word to find Nat. If she was going, so was I.
I quickly found her, thankfully away from Fury, and walked up to her.
"Hey, Nat, can I go?" I asked, walking alongside her as she made her way to the jet. "I could do... something useful. Probably."
"Just stay out of the way." She agreed, totally catching me off guard.
"Wait, that worked?" I looked up at her, not expecting her to let me go.
"Let's go."
I followed her quickly, not pushing it any further. I wasn't ruining my one chance to see everyone in action.
We walked up to the jet and I struggled to keep the smile from my face. I had to keep my cool. I nodded to the pilot that would be going with us, walking with a purpose.
I knew that as long as I stayed with Nat and looked like I belonged there, no one would question me.
"Stay here." Nat instructed, pointing to one of the seats. She pulled out a device from one of her pockets and handed it to me before going up to the pilot's seat. "Keep me posted."
I nodded at Steve as he got in, secretly excited to see him fight.
I kept my eyes set on the screen of the device, making sure the location of Loki didn't change.
The trip to Germany was fairly quick, though the sun had set by the time we got there.
"Alright, Cap. You're up." Nat called from the front, hovering the jet down and opening the back door. "Good luck."
He walked out the door, nodding to me as it closed back up.
"Status?" She asked me as we lifted into the air again.
"No change." I reported back.
She nodded to herself and I put the tablet away, leaning forward in my seat.
She flew the jet over a large crowd of people kneeling before a man with a long horned helmet and a septer.
I immediately recognized him as Loki.
I stood up, watching as Nat flipped a switch to activate the weapons.
"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down." She commanded over the PA system.
He fired a blast from the septre which she easily dodged. I maintained my balance, watching out the windshield as a fight broke out down below.
Steve and Loki fought skillfully as the people cleared the area.
Steve's shield was knocked away as he threw it at Loki, leaving him without a weapon. Nat hovered a little closer and tried to get a good shot through the fight.
Things weren't looking too good.
Before I knew it, Steve was on the ground before Loki, who held the end of the staff to his head.
It almost looked like there was no way out. But with quick movements, he knocked the staff away and got back to his feet, lunging forward in an attack.
"The guy's all over the place." Nat commented about Steve as he was thrown through the air.
I opened my mouth to respond when Shoot to Thrill started playing over the PA system. I smiled, immediately knowing who it was.
"Agent Romanoff." Tony's voice came through the speaker inside the jet. "You miss me?"
He flew past the jet as Nat rolled her eyes, shooting Loki several feet back. He landed perfectly and stood upright, aiming all of the suit's weapons at the god below as he sat up.
