"The whole world looks like a giant pinwheel of death." were the words that woke me from my almost sleeping state across one of the sofa's back in the google building, legs resting on the lap of one of the older men who I recognised as Nick once he replied to Twombly's comment. "Price of making memories, Stewie." I stirred to sit up right, trying to train my eyes in the newly found daylight. "I think my liver hurts," Yo-yo added, regretting his first night of letting loose. I had begun to drift off again, against the shoulder of the older blonde man when a loud voice shocked my eyes wide open.

"Astonishingly your app...received ten times more downloads than any other team's." Wide eyed looks were exchanged all across the room. "It appears you have won your first challenge." we all exclaimed in excitement as Mr Chetty congratulated us before it was interrupted by yo-yo throwing up half of last night into a handy nearby bucket.

For the next few days, we spent a lot of time together not just as a team but as actual friends, as well as completing some tasks and teaching the oldens some new tricks.

We whittled it down to two challenges in what seemed like the shortest space of time ever and it wasn't long before we would find out who was getting the job at google. Our next challenge was manning the google helpline, which was said to be one of the most difficult jobs that they had in the company. We practiced and prepared, soon it was time for the task to begin. "Good morning. Welcome to the google helpline. You will man the phones for exactly one hour. Before you begin...The help line...is...open"

The time started off pretty easily, talking to people was never my strong point but I put on a fake smile and shrugged off my social anxieties. "Hello this is google helpline how may i assist you today?" I asked polite a cheery. "Well that's an easy fix for you there mam, if you reboot your search engine the files will auto save to your device and reload properly when you log back on...that's no problem, glad i could help you today, bye bye now" the hour rushed past quick and my eyes kept meeting Stuart's as he tried not to laugh at my over fake voice, i sent him a joking glare before carrying on with my conversation.

"I see sir well, i wanna help you fix that before your mum sees so listen to me carefully...and then your webpage should be add and virus free...that's okay sir...very sorry im not allowed to give out my own number on here but that's sweet of you to ask, have a nice day love." I rolled my eyes before hopping on the next call, Stuart glanced in my direction once he heard my reply in my conversation, I shot him a 'talk about it later' look before picking up the next call.

It wasn't long at all before the hour was up and we came off of our calls. "Thank you everyone, please submit your log files so that i can view them later" i pressed the blue button on the top left of my screen and walked over to the others. "Oh yeah i was talking to some woman who said google won't work because her computer wouldn't turn on" Neha laughed. "I had a guy ask for my number, he was like sixteen and trying to hide his porn websites from his mother." I told the others as they all burst out laughing.

"What did you tell him?" Stuart asked me, in return from my story. "No of course" I said, hitting him on the shoulder jokingly. "No need to get all jealous Stewie" I added, teasing him slightly as he began to deny it. "Is anyone else's button grey!" we turned our head at the yell and moved over to Billy's computer. "Did you not hear my opening remarks, you had to log into your google account so that i could review your log later." Mr Chetty said, walking over to join us. We all exchanged saddened glances, unsure of what this meant. "Well the good news is you rewired my work now, you don't need to watch the instant replay because you saw the touchdown live." Billy argued, hoping it didn't matter that he had messed up again.

"I don't really understand that analogy, but I do know that attention to detail is of paramount importance here and my instructions were explicit. If there is no recording, it is as if you didn't show up today." Chetty told us all but focused more on Billy. "Except I did show up. I'm right here, chetty."

"Well, according to your log, you're not and since every intern must complete the challenge in order for your team to be scored, your team will unfortunately receive a score...of zero. Welldone Mr Mcmahon" we all looked at each other defeated, i felt my stomach drop, i felt physically ill and it worsened still when Graham decided to open his big mouth. "Oh billy billy billy. What have you done?"

"It's you lot I feel bad for. It's really hard to get here. Some of you are probably pretty intelligent, you deserve better. I'm sorry." I glared at him as he walked out even when his pity seemed genuine. I knew the truth.

"Well there's another win for team Graham, There's one challenge left and even if we are perfect it won't be enough." The boys complained as I just stared in silence at the floor. "It's a little hiccup, a little adversity" Nick argued in Billy's case. "Nick, come on. Billy's a great guy, but he kind of blew it for us today," Stuart pointed out, moving to put a hand in mine but I only pulled away. "I needed this job," I muttered as everyone turned to look at me, surprised that I had spoken after such a long silence. "This was the only job that paid enough for what I needed." I continued in a hushed voice, tears threatening to spill. "Y/n what are you talking about?" Stuart asked, trying to force my head up to look at him. "It doesn't matter now anyway, it's over...i gotta go." I replied pushing through the people and out the door, almost bumping into Billy on the way, tears now free falling.

As I moved quickly through the crowds of people and hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the owner of it. "y/n, finally ditching that pathetic excuse of a team i assume." a stuck up voice i soon recognised to be Graham hawtrey's. "Just leave it alone Graham, for once" I said, trying to pull myself from his hand but this only made his grip on my wrist tighten. "But you see, dear y/n, I have an...opportunity for you, a way for you to get that internship that I know you most desperately need." I turned away from his deceiving eyes not wanting to fall into his web of lies. "I don't need your help Graham, so just let me go."

"Unfortunately i can't do that, i know how much you need that money to help your dear mother and luckily for you my previous offer is still on the table, ditch your so called team and join me, i get the job, you get your money and we both win.'' I stayed quiet, disgusted with myself for even considering it but I couldn't help it. He was right. I needed that money and he knew how to play on anyone's weaknesses. "Think about it...and don't go making the wrong choice, cousin."

Hey guys, sorry this one's so short but I just liked how it ended and I've had a lot of school work recently. Anyways have a great day guys :)
