Chapter 13

My POV

"Gosh, it's been hours." Jimin whined. "How long is it gonna take?"

"I don't know, but I hope they don't get fired." Hoseok frowned.

We were waiting outside Junmyeon's office. Taehyung and Jungkook got called in this morning after what happened. We were all so into yesterday's karaoke that we completely forgot about it. Once we came to work today, we remembered and everyone was worried.

We heard the click of the door opening, Taehyung and Jungkook exiting the office.

"Omg, finally!" Jin exclaimed. "How did it go?"

"We got scolded a little." Jungkook pouted.

"And, we need to pay for the burned printers." Taehyung added.

"He didn't fire you both!?" I asked with wide eyes.

"Nope, he just told us this was a warning and if it happened again, then he would fire us." Jungkook responded.

"Yay, my best buds get to work with me!" Jimin hugged both of them, a smile on his face.

"Don't celebrate just yet." Namjoon sighed. "We still need to figure out who's behind all this."

"We don't need to do that, we already know who's behind this." Yoongi's hand turned into a fist.

"We need proof, hyung." Hoseok said. "We can't just go to Junmyeon saying they did it."

"And, he won't believe us." Jungkook added. "He'll just say we're blaming it on them."

"Then, we'll get proof." I put my hands on my hips. "Tonight."

They all look at me, heads tilting in confusion.

"What do you mean 'tonight?' Jin narrowed his eyes at me.

"Tonight, after everyone leaves, we'll stay late and check the security systems. There, we will go back to last Friday and see what happened before the printers caught on fire." I smirked and everyone's eyes widened and they looked at me like I was crazy.

"Navya, are you nuts!?" Taehyung exclaimed. "We can't do that!"

"What if we get caught!?" Jimin exclaimed. "We'll get in trouble and maybe get fired!"

"Look, I know it's crazy, but it's the only thing we can do." I sighed. "If we don't do this, then we won't know who actually did it and Taehyung and Jungkook will be blamed forever."

Everyone looked at each other, frowning. I knew they were worrying about how this was going to go. I was even worried about this plan. I just thought of it right now on the spot.

I really do hope we can do this without anyone knowing.

Especially Cynthia and her friends.

They'll tell Junmyeon everything we did.

We'll get punished and possibly fired.

"Are you guys in?" I asked, looking at everyone.

"Let's do this!" Jungkook pumped a fist the air.

I smiled. "Alright, Operation Security Systems is a go!"
