don't play song yet.

you never know what death feels like until you're looking it right in your face. it's scary, like shit. you don't know if it's darkness or light at the end of the hall, you always have to figure out yourself.

"how you feeling?" she looked over in the driver's seat, her mother with a shallow smile upon her face.

"i'm good mama." she mumbled.

Shannon sighed. "you know i'll have to come by your house everyday, Kamora."

"i'm a grown ass woman ok? i know how to take care of myself-."

"obviously not. you overdosed, Mora. that's nothing to joke about."

"does it seem like i'm fucking joking?" Kamora asked smartly.

"you may be grown but you still needs watch your fucking mouth with me!" Shannon spat.

Kamora groaned. "fuck you...."

"fuck me?! fuck me?! your ass...."

Kiana was Kamora's younger sister. she's the one who found her having trouble breathing in a pool of her own blood from slitting her wrist too deep. it was horrific. she just went over to spend time with her sister and that happened. Kiana wanted the best for her sister, and seeing her in a hospital bed in a coma was not it.

"can we not do this in front of Kiana?" Kamora asked, rolling her eyes.

Shannon looked back at her 15 year old daughter who had tears in her eyes. "i'm sorry baby that you have to witness this..."

Kamora sighed, staring out the window as they pulled up to her apartment building. she got out the car, going to the trunk to get out her suitcase. her mom watched her. "Kamora.... please stay safe."

she smiled as she shut the trunk. "i am ma, i promise."

it felt weird coming into your own home you haven't seen in months. it was cleaner, knowing the feds and her mom probably dirtied it up looking for substances.

Kamora sighed as she flopped on her queen sized bed, already hating the new life her mom was talking about. she stared out the window to see her favorite shop across the street. not listening to her opposing thoughts, she threw back on her shoes before exiting her apartment.

"ayo bro i told you to stop that-."

"Kopon." Oyankopon looked up to see Kamora. "what's up?"

"yo i'll call you back." he hung up and walked towards her. he pulled her into a long hug. "damn i missed you."

"missed you too bro. is Yelena in there?" she asked, nodding towards the back.

"yea why? i know yo ass-."

"and is." Kamora said. already walking towards the employees only.

she busted the door open, smiling at the tall woman. "ayo Mora i told you to knock and shit."

Kamora slammed $200 dollars on the table. "my bad. imma need them perc 30s and a pound of that green shit i love the most."
