Aera was stunned, was this...a joke? A petty way to get back at her for whatever reason? But Nikolia wasn't one to mess with people like this
"And before you ask, no it isn't a joke." He said, eyes turned to Aera to specify who he knew was thinking that way "After doing some research, we found that he was an F-ranker just a few months ago."
"With more investigation it was easy to conclude that the architect was helping him in some way, but according to the books we have the architect made a deal with the shadow monarch, why would he help a random loser? Unless... that 'loser' is the shadow monarch's chosen vessel." The brunette man finished, leaning back into his chair at the head of the table
"But, that isn't enough-"
"Aera." He said authoritatively, "don't let love reduce your critical thinking skills."
"...yes."
"So the real question is, what do we do with this piece of info?" Aera's uncle asked
"I say we kill him." Leilac scoffed, twirling her hair around her index finger "he's a waste of oxygen anyways."
"We can't do that." Kinsley laughed "The shadow monarch is needed to defeat the rulers otherwise we're just leading humanity into their demise because of a petty grudge."
"Then what can we do?" The red haired fox known as Karlos asked
"The solution is quite easy." Christian stated, placing his hand on the table and leaning them "We send Aera to get his trust, or seduce him. Whichever way works. Then we use him to fight the rulers."
"He doesn't want me, seduction won't work." Aera said, she decided to focus on this situation because protecting humanity had been and will always be her number one priority
"Then gain his trust, kill him if he'll end up being a problem. The shadow monarch isn't needed to defeat the rulers." Christian took a jab at Kinsley's previous words "it'll just make things so much more easier."
"Christian is right. That's the best solution, you and your sister are the strongest female hunters among us so it'll be best to send you guys to handle him, he already knows Lilac as your sibling so we can't send her. Unless he's gay..." Nikolai trailed off
"That would explain why he wasn't interested in Aera, she's so perfect, no straight man would be able to resist her." The sis con concluded
"But none of us are gay." Christian sighed "Let's stick with Aera. If he's gay then befriending him is the way to go."
It was nice. They hardly talked to each other like normal people and although Lilac hated them, she missed this kind of interactions. Just them planning out which course of action to take.
"So we can go back to Korea?" Aera asked happily
"Not we, you." Nikolia corrected "We need to make a plan b and even losing just you is a costly sacrifice."
"So I have to stay? No way" Lilac whined
"Yes way, I'll show you around the headquarters again. You've been gone for too long." Kinsley smirked, knowing his offer was going to piss of the now pink haired girl
"I'd love that." Well that sure was a fail

"Can I join your guild?" Cha hae rin asked, the moment she discovered that the raven haired man had made a guild
"Did the association chairman ask you to?" Sung jinwoo asked, stunned by her offer
"Huh? Why would he..."
"Did you get kicked out of your guild?"
"No..."
"Then why would you want to join us?" He deadpanned
Cha hae rin bashfully glanced to the side, raising up the can of soda in her hand to take a small sip
'Her heartbeat, breathing and expression, she's trying to act calm but she can't fool me.' Sung jinwoo thought 'why would she be doing all this just to join our solo play guild?'
Ring ring
Sung jinwoo's phone suddenly started ringing like crazy, apologizing, he picked it up and answered without looking at the name
"Jinwoo, it's me." A familiar female voice whispered softly "I came back to Korea and need a place to crash at, any chance-"
Ding
He quickly ended the call not bothering to listen to her request
"Who was that?" Cha girl asked, she was curious about who the girlish voice she heard belonged to
"Oooh~ was it her?" Jin-ho smirked, covering his mouth with the back of his hand as though keeping a secret
"Who's her?" Cha hae rin asked
"Don't bothe-"
Rapid knocks were heard on the door interrupting the black haired man
"I'll get that." Jin-ho volunteered, getting up from his seat and going to unlock the door
Suddenly a brunette girl came bundling through as soon as it was opened and ran past him, jumping onto the seated black haired man
"What the?" Jin-ho muttered, turning around and going back in only to be met with the blank faced man having his face contorted with surprise while looking at the girl with her arms around his neck

Hi, how was your day? Sorry if this chapter was bad, been having a shitty day and just ended a 4 year long friendship because she wouldn't stop making fun of the fact that I have a dead mom.
Honestly it's not funny, I don't really see how someone I call my friend could poke fun at me about something that absolutely ruined the life of 7 year old me. To think I even called her a best friendಠ_ಠ
Anyways ignore my small rant, I hope your day stays as lovely as you~♥
Btw just to clarify, it's not gonna be some cliche sung jinwoo ends up with the mc, at least I hope my writing doesn't take me there
