Part 17

Shraman, after spending little time together, went to Tiwari Killa to drop Suman. They both got out of the car and as Suman was going inside, Shravan held her hand. She saw him with confusion written on his face. He took a step towards her and left a kiss on her forehead. She closed her eyes, taking in the warmth emitting from his body. She hugged him very tightly.

Shravan: I love you Sumo!

Sumo: I love you too!!

They then parted and left towards their destination, unaware that one pair of eyes has witnessed their pure love.

When she went inside, she was greeted by her masi.

Masi: Aa gyi Suman? Bhot khush lg rhi h?

Suman: Ha masi, wo ek bda order mila na PCT me isliye.

Masi: Acha. Muh haath dhoke aa ja aur khana kha le. Sb aa gye hain table pe.

Suman nodded and went to her room. Happiness was clearly seen on her face. She seemed to have got whole world, coz for her, HER Shravan was her world.

She went outside and sat to eat with her family.

Meanwhile, Shravan reached the Malhotra Mansion and did the same.

Suman was eating when she heard.

Mami: Babuji, m soch rhi thi ki ab Suman ki shaadi kr deni chaiye.

Her hands stopped while eating, eyes bulged out of the sockets, looking at her Mamiji. It was true that she had confessed her love in front of Shravan. But she wasn't aware if he would be happy with the idea of marrying at the moment.

Now if she told about him to the family and then he didn't agree, she would be in a problem and if she hid their relationship from the family, she would again be in a problem. She was too occupied in her thoughts when again she heard her mami.

Mami: Meri mamiji ki bhabhi ka beta h agar aap log chahe to. Achi naukri h, apna ghar h, aur akela bacha h. Suman hmari aaram se rhegi.

Now it was difficult to even swallow a single bite of food for Suman. She couldn't imagine herself with another person even in her dreams. She tried making an excuse.

Suman: Lekin mamiji, wo PCT ka kya-

Mami: Ladka isi desh me rehta h, aur wese bhi tum apna PCT shift bhi to kr skti ho. Aur jb London gyi thi tb bhi to PCT sambhal liya tha reeta ne.

Suman: Mamiji wo to kuch samay ke liye gyi thi to Preeta ne sambhala tha, ab ese achanak se sb shift krna..

Mami: Suman, kahi ye PCT ke bahane to shadi se bachna to nhi chahti?

Suman: N..nhi mamiji, esi koi baat nhi h..

Nanu: Bete mere khyaal to ab tumhe shaadi kr leni chaiye. Ab tumhari umra bhi ho gyi h aur wese bhi, mera bhi kaha koi bharosa h, kal ko m na rha to yaha h hi koun tumhari dekh bhaal ke liye? *eyeing manju*

Suman: Pls nanu aap esa mt kahiye. Abhi ek do saal agar ruk..

Mami: Sirf tumhi nhi baithi ho iss ghr me. Aage preeti ke liye bhi rishte dekhne h. Ese me agar badi beti ki shaadi nhi ho rkhi hogi to koi meri Preeti se shaadi kyu krega?

Suman: Lekin..

Mami: *standing from the chair* Bs Suman. Saaf saaf kyu nhi kehti ki pehle hi kahi chakkar chal rha h tera?

Nanu: Manju!!

Mami: Maaf kijiyega ka babuji, pr chhat se kapre utaarte hue mene khud dekha h ise Shravan ke saath.

Mama: Manju thoda to soch smjh ke bolo. Shravan aur Suman khaas dost h.

Mami: Acha? To kounsa dost ese hi sar pe...dekhiye ji, mujhe mt smjhaiye. Aaj me mene dekha h, kal me agar kisi aur ko khabar padh gyi to Tiwari khandan ki naak to kategi hi, saath me meri Preeti ki shaadi me bhi mushkile aayengi.

Nanu looked at Suman and said confidently: Suman, kha meri kasam aur bta de Manju ko ki ye glt h.

Suman: Nanu...

Nanu: Sb bate baad me pehle jo kaha h wo kr.

Suman closed her eyes, took a deep breath and spoke in a breath: Nanu ye sb sach h.

Nanu looked at her in astonish and stood up and left for his room. Slowly, everyone departed to their rooms. Suman kept thinking of how to handle this situation.

10 pm...

Suman went to Nanu's room. He had his eyes closed and was sitting on his armchair.

She went near him and sat on her knees.

Suman *slowly*: Nanu?

He opened his eyes and looked at her with an emotionless face.

Suman *almost in tears*: Nanu, m sachme aapki kasam khake kehti hu ki aaj hi mene Shravan se kaha tha ki m usse pyaar krti hu. Wo bhi mujhse bahot pyaar krta h nanu. Hmne kuch glt nhi kiya nanu. M usse tbse pyaar krti hu jbse wo school chhod kr abroad gya tha padhne. Bs ehsaas ab hua. Nanu, m usse bhot pyaar krti hu. Please nanu, aap to hme smjhte h na?

Nanu patted her head and said: Ha beta. M tumhe smjhta hu. Pr ye baat mere saamne nhi aayi isliye thoda dukhi tha. Pr tune mujhse pehli baar apne dil ki baat kahi, sunke bhot acha lga. Ab ja aur shaanti se soja.

She smiled and went to her room. She thought to call Shravan once.

Shravan: Hi jaan, kya kr rhi ho?

She was delighted listening 'jaan' from him.

Suman: Shravan...mujhe..mujhe tumse kuch baat krni thi..

Shravan: Sumo, tum serious lg rhi ho, sb theek to h?

Suman: Ha..nhi..mtlb bs baat krni h. Kal Tom chai stall me subah 6 bje tumhara wait krungi m. Pls aa jana.

Shravan: Ha lekin..

Suman: Pls Shravan...aur kuch mt pucho.

Shravan: Okay fine. But tum restless sound kr rhi ho. Isliye lay down and tb baat kro mujhse. Jldi neend aa jaegi.

Suman did as instructed. She then fell asleep talking to him. Shravan also slept thinking about why had she called him.

A/n: 2 updates in a week. Actually I thought to finish it now as it is going on from really before. So yeah, this book is coming to end.

I don't know it happens with me only or with every Shraman fan that I am feeling to watch EDKV again. Having so much of fondness for the pair these days!!
