Chapter 4

•Kokichi's Story•

"KOKICHI!!"

"KOKICHI WHERE ARE YOU"

"OUMA"

"Mmh.." I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes.

I sat up and fixed my shirt. My whole body was numb and covered in dirt. I rubbed my eyes and tried to stand up but my legs were stiff and I collapsed back on the ground after trying to put my weight on them.

"OUMA" A loud masculine voice yelled

I heard more yelling coming from different places in the woods.

It was dark. The sun was setting and the trees covered the last bit of light there was left in the sky. Fades flashes of lights illuminated the trees and the ground, phone flashlights i assume.

I heard fast footsteps and swishing leaves while the yelling and flashing continued

As i was about to pass out again i heard a gasp and then yelling

"I FOUND HIM" They yelled

They quickly dropped to the ground next to me and grabbed me

"Holy shit ouma are you ok? Answer me. Are you hurt?" Shuichi asked me

He pulled me close to him and grabbed a jacket out of a pull string bag.

He threw the jacket over me and hugged me close

"God you're frozen. Why did you run away?? Why didnt you call Kaede?? Or-or Kaito??" He mumbled frantically

I didn't answer. Its not that i didnt want too.

Im just scared. Im scared of what will happen. Im scared of the consequences.

I hug him around his waist and rest my head on his chest.

Beeeeee booo beeee booo beeeeeeee

A soft ringtone started to fade in from shuichis pocket. He took out his phone and clicked on the answer button

"Hello?" He brought the phone up to his ear and looked down at me with a worried expression.

"Yes i fucking found him. ... ... no im not bringing him to you do you think im fucking crazy?? ... ... ... No Rantaro. Now stop calling me or i will block you. ... ... ... ... Why are you asking me? Its not my phone. ... i mean you can put it in his locker or some shit he's not going to you. ... ... then i guess he wont have a phone then. ... ... ... Fuck off my dick." He hung up and threw his phone on the ground.

"Jesus." He mumbled. He picked up his phone again and put it in his string bag before putting it around his shoulders.

"SHUICHI" Someone yelled

"Over here, Kaito" He tried not to raise his voice but it was loud enough for Kaito to hear.

Kaito jogged over to us and stood over us with his flashlight.

"Holy shit is he dead?" He asked

"If he were dead do you think i would be sitting here." Shuichi said annoyed.

"Oh yeahhh..." Kaito said awkward before motioning towards me.

"You need me to carry him or you got it?" He asked

"... You can carry him." Shuichi zipped up the jacket he put around me and lifted me off his lap so Kaito could grab me.

"Jeez its like he's getting lighter by the day!" Kaito said bending me over his shoulder

"That's because he has anorexia dumbass." Shuichi scoffed and then started walking towards the entrance of the woods

It was getting darker outside by the minute

"Kaito.." I mumbled

"Oh- hey I thought you were passed out.. whats wrong?" He readjusted me in his arms.

"What happened" I asked

"Ah uh.. Well Rantaro texted the group chat saying you had an episode and ran out into the road.. he said you tried to kill yourself. But then he said when he got into his car to go after you, you disappeared. So some of us went looking for you and the woods were near the road so we assumed you ran in here." He explained

We made it to the car and he opened the door, slowly laying me into the back seat.

The heat immediately warmed me up before I started getting "pins and needles" throughout my body from my skin making contact with the heat.

Kaede was sitting in the back seat and pulled me over to her. She laid me on her lap and rubbed my head softly.

"I didnt try to kill myself.. I-i promise." I said to her

"I know honey.. he was just saying that to make him seem like the good person. We know what happened dont worry about it. You're not going back to the hospital." She said quietly

Tenko and Korekiyo were sitting in the two middle seats infront of me, well kiibo was on the floor infront of korekiyo leaning against his legs and Shuichi and Kaito were in the front seats.

"Where are we going?" I asked Kaede

"We're dropping Tenko, Korekiyo, Kiibo and Shuichi off then me you and Kaito are going back to my house." She said

"Uhm actually.. Kaede do you mind if i come to you're house too? I changed my mind.." Shuichi asked nervously

"No its fine, you can come too." She said before looking down at me for approval

I nodded and closed my eyes trying to calm my nerves down, im still shook from the events that happened earlier. I dont know why,, after shock maybe?
