Chapter 14 - Inmate Captured

Alison: "You're okay... you're okay..."

I jumped when I heard the cell open.

Alison: "Honey."

I stood up and wrap my arms around him.

Honey: "Did you miss me?"

Alison: "Heh, you're going to get in big trouble. Where did you get the keys?"

Honey: "Trois helped me steal them. Are you okay?"

Alison: "Yeah..."

I buried my face in his chest.

Alison: "I feel safe with you."

Honey: "Then I'll stay."

He held me securely in his arms. After a while...

Alison: "I wish Kiji hadn't taken my lighter..."

Honey: "You're lighter?"

Alison: "Uh- did I say that out loud?"

Honey: "Ahah, yeah you did."

Alison: "Stupid thing to worry about. Ignore me."

Honey: "I would never. Tell me about it."

Alison: "It was a gift from my dad."

Honey: "Were you and him close?"

Alison: "Not really. He was a smoker. Died of lung cancer not too long after I was arrested when I was 18."

Honey: "...?"

Alison: "He was a piece of shit... but it was all I had left of him, you know. Plus it's a tool of my crimes. It has sentimental value."

Honey: "Well, I'll get it back for you."

Alison: "Let's get through this first, Hon."

He was about to kiss me, but something startled him. He let go of me and turned to the bars. His arrows were twitching.

Honey: "They're here..."

Alison: "What? H-how do you know?"

Honey: "I set a trap at the entrance. It's definitely them."

Alison: "This isn't happening... No no no, they can't-!"

He turned back to me and covered my mouth. He spoke calmly.

Honey: "Sshhh... they haven't found us yet... I'm going to lock us in here... I'll keep you safe."

I nodded. He took his hand off my mouth, turned to the door and locked it with the stolen key. We were backing into the wall. He stood in front of me facing the bars.

Honey: "I won't let them take you."

I look to see Honey's wires were wrapped around his fingers. He had a plan. At the same time, I could hear Shin and June's voices echoing.

Shin: "Come on out, my little inmate! It's time to go home!"

June: "GET OUT HERE YOU CONIVING BI-!"

Shin: "Miss Eriksen, language!"

June: "Sorry, sir..."

Tears filled my eyes as I heard them getting closer and closer. Until they were right outside the cell, staring at us through the bars.

Shin: "Found yoouuu. Thought you could give us the slip, number 12?"

Alison: "What's it matter to you? I'm still in custody."

June: "It matters because you are my inmate! And when one of my inmates escape, it's my job to hunt them down."

Shin: "This is your protector, number 12? I might have guessed it'd be the boy we found in your cell that night."

Honey: "Just go back where you came from and leave her alone!"

Shin: "*sigh* But we went through so much trouble to get here. Acquiring the building you were placed in from Miss Momoko, then getting Kiji out of the way. Now that took some effort. He was certainly very determined-"

Alison & Honey: "What did you do to Kiji?!"

Shin: "Oh, Miss Eriksen, isn't that cute?! They both said the same thing!"

June: "Adorable, sir. It sickens me."

Shin: "You need not worry, children, your precious mama bird is fine. I'd worry about yourselves at the moment. Especially you, number 12."

Honey smiled.

Honey: "Go ahead. Touch those bars, I dare you."

Alison: "Honey!"

Honey: "Trust me."

June was about to punch them. I knew her strength and I knew she could break them. But before her fist even touched the bars, Honey pulled his wire which wrapped around them and lifted them both to the ceiling. He then ran and unlocked the cell.

Honey: "ALI, GO!"

I ran past him out the door and he followed close behind. I ran straight for the exit.

Honey: "Keep going, don't stop! We have to find... Ki—ji—"

I stopped and turned to see June with an injection in Honey's neck.

June: "Sweet dreams, pretty boy."

He fell to the floor.

Alison: "NO!"

I ran back, but Shin caught me.

Alison: "LET ME GO! HONEY! HONEY, WAKE UP!"

Shin was struggling to hold me as I kicked and screamed.

June: "Are you sure we used it on the right person, sir?"

Shin: "Yes. That boy was a nuisance. Let's get out of here, Miss Eriksen."

June: "Yes, sir."

Alison: "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!"

She and Shin ignored me as he dragged me outside to the helicopter.

Alison: "KIJI!! TROIS?! SOMEONE HELP ME!!"

June: "Shut up already!"

Alison: "Make me, bitch!"

She was about to hit me, but Shin caught her fist.

Shin: "All things come to those who wait, Miss Eriksen."

June: "Mm- Of course, sir."

Tears were falling down my cheeks as my emotions were a wreck. I was worried about Honey, furious at June and Shin, and frightened for whatever was going to happen next.

Shin: "No need to cry, number 12. We're talking you home, where those nasty boys can't get their hands on you."

Alison: 'Help me...... Honey...'
