With a sky painted in a deep blue colour, a bright disk, along with glistening stars and a cool atmosphere, one popular red deer waltzed about the festival grounds, deep in thought. Around him, groups of all sorts of animals conversed, all enjoying themselves in the elegantly decorated space. The crowds observed the colourful colossal dinosaurs, illuminated by bright golden lights, in awe, impressed by the art department's hard work.
Though Louis hated to admit it, his elk friend was right, the almost magical like ambience of the festival did put his mind at ease. Despite it all being so beautiful, that melancholic feeling deep within him was still there, no matter how much he tried to disregard it. Suddenly, Louis heard cheers coming from a large group of animals that had formed. His attention turned to what the teenagers were bustling about, yet as soon as he understood what was going on, Louis instantly regretted being curious. He felt a strong wave of dread wash over him as he saw a murderous figure standing on stage.
Dressed in her red costume, Juno spoke to the crowd, a bright smile on her face. Louis couldn't bother listening to what she was saying, feeling anxious at the mere thought of what she could do, of what those innocent blue eyes were capable of.
After delivering an awe inspiring speech, members of the dance team stepped on stage, dressed in similar red costumes. They all scurried into their assigned positions before music started playing. Louis sneered in disgust, not at the dancers but at Juno, how he despised her. The red deer made up his mind and backed away from the crowd, about to leave, before he made eye contact with the enemy. Blue met hazel and within seconds, hazel caught an odd glimpse of guilt in murderous blue eyes.
It unsettled him in a way, seeing that disoriented expression, as if the sight of him made her sad. As if the thought of what she'd done made her feel bad, made her want to apologise. Whatever is was, Louis found it strange and didn't believe in it, not even a little bit. Having enough of her face, Louis walked away, breaking eye contact.
Louis wandered about, going back to admiring the decorations. Soon after, he found himself at the foot of a sizeable ball of light, a meteor, lit up by candles love birds had placed there. The red deer approached it, enthralled by how mesmerising it was. He heard light laughter around him and soon noticed a few couples holding candles in the palm of their hands. Some exchanged light kisses while others just stood in comfortable silence, enjoying each other's presence.
Louis watched them live their teenage romance while his heart clenched at the mere thought of love. Louis felt slightly embarrassed for being there all alone like a desperate romantic, regretting ever listening to Mobaru's advice, but he couldn't blame the elk, despite how flustered he might've been, he felt less dejected. Louis sighed, in a trance, he gathered his thoughts, recalling the adventures he'd been through. All the fright and the uncanny excitement that he'd felt within the last month, all clouding his thoughts.
The couples from before had soon left and Louis was left behind, in a dwam, alone with his thoughts. However, the latter hadn't taken their departure into account, nor had he been paying enough attention to his surroundings to notice a grey haired critter creep up to him. Though as soon as Louis felt arms slither around his waist, he was brought out of his trance. Hazel eyes widened in surprise at the contact.
Louis felt the other's head lay against the back of his own, holding him tight. Louis looked around him in a panic before noticing the colour of the fur of the tall one embracing him. His eyes widened further, pure shock and fear written on his face. Within seconds his expression turned into an irked one, not fully grasping onto the audacity of the carnivore behind him.
