Dear Coira,
What would the world look like without color. Just take a second to close your eyes and imagine it.

A world where the trees aren't green, the sky isn't blue and Louboutins didn't have red soles. A world where everything looks like it's out of a 90s movie.

Imagine everything we'd miss out on. How observant would we be if everything ranging from our skin to our shoes were the same color.

While I'm sure that it might have been a lot simpler if we didn't have color. Everybody would look completely and totally the same. No difference in hair, skin or clothes. No difference, no discrimination. But, the reality of life, the excitement that we experience everyday, it does, to some extend, grow from how different everything around us is.

If color didn't matter, every skittle in the jar would look the same. There would be no surprise when you reach into the jar and pick out a handful if you knew that everything you picked would be the very same.

My point is that, color brings out a world. Everything around us has so many colors in them. The browns mix with the greens against the blues to paint out a magnificent picture.

We gasp every time a rainbow adorns the sky but what we don't take the time to realize is that we live in a rainbow of chaos. Everything around us is colored and that is what really makes life special.

From the elementary girl's overdone pink, to the goth's electric blue, there may be times when we abuse all the colors around us but at the end of the day, colors are nature's smiles.

So, Coira, pick up that blank canvas in front of you and paint the magnificent colors that pass you by each day.

A busy street, a lonely pond, a stormy sky, who cares? Just paint an image right out of your life, and send it down to us.
