•alma madrigal doesn’t approve of her eldest grandson’s lover
•ooc everyone? angst maybe? it’s just my shitty writing
•kinda short
"He’s been cooped up in his room since they left! Julieta I don’t know what to do!”
“Pepa it’ll be ok.” Julieta tried to calm down her sister before she made it storm.
“He’s not eating and he won’t even talk to Antonio!” Pepa pulled her hair a bit as the cloud over her head turned darker.
“He’ll get over them, just give him time.” Alma Madrigal walked into the kitchen and sat with her two daughters.
“Ma, when was the last time he was eating meals with us and not in his room?” Pepa’s head was buried in her hands. She didn’t want to see her son in pain.
“Pepa, he’s young. Soon enough he’ll realize how immature he’s being and he’ll go back to his usual cheery self.” Alma didn’t have a doubt in her mind. She was doing what was best for her grandson.
Pepa looked up at her mother with teary eyes. “How can you be sure? He loves them with his entire heart. I’m sure you know what it’s like to love someone like that Ma.”
Alma sighed. “I’ll go talk to him ok? Please clear your head, we don’t want it to be too rainy.” She stood went up the stairs of casita to Camilo’s room.
“I’m not hungry, Mami.” His face was buried in his pillow.
“Camilo you have to get over them.” His head shot up at the sound of his grandmother.
“Get over them? Abuela, I love them. They make me happy. Why are you taking them away from me?” Camilo’s eyes were dull and full of tears.
Alma sighed and sat next to Camilo. “I’ve seen your future ok? I know things aren’t going to end well. Todo esto es por tu bien.”
Camilo sat up and stared at his lap. The promise ring on his finger glistened tauntingly.
“Get cleaned up, we have to get ready for Antonio’s ceremony.” Alma pat her grandson on the back then walked out.
Camilo took in a deep breath. Was he ever going to see Y/n again? He saw his tears hit his hands.

Camilo stood with Dolores and his Tía Julieta. He watched as Antonio walked down the path with Mirabel. Even with his aching heart, he couldn’t help smiling at the scene.
They got to the top of the stairs and Antonio took the candle in his hands before turning to the door.
He touched the doorknob and almost immediately a bird flew onto his shoulder. “I understand you!”
Everyone cheered and the party was moved into Antonio’s giant bedroom.
