Sweet Strawberries

It was still quite early in the morning. The moon shone brightly down onto the empty streets, while a comfortable silence lingered in the air. Normally (Y/N) would be fast asleep, honestly anyone would be fast asleep at a time like that, but her excitment didn't give her a proper rest. Alone the thought of it, let her smile brightly. Even if it looked kind of awkard to walk along the streets, alone, while smiling like a maniac.
Slowly her look wandered down to the heavy shopping bags in her hand, while thinking if she didn't forget anything important. After all she had planned everything perfectly for the soon arrival of her boyfriend Nagasi.

"Can't wait to finally see him...", she whispered with a sigh, while finally reaching her home. It was quite some time since they were able to spend some time together. Nagasi was over motivated after starting the Iwatobi swim club with his friends. There was much work to do and (Y/N) was aware that he would have to train daily to improve his skills for upcoming tournaments. She wasn't angry. She totally understood. Never would she stay against his beloved team, hobby and passion. But after they left for a training camp, (Y/N) couldn't but feel dissapointed of having another weekend for her own.
Luckily not for long, after receiving a message from Nagasi that he would meet her for dinner today.

He was worried.

Nagasi knew right away if she was bothered by something and he was totally aware of their daily difficulties. Having dinner together, maybe a romantic dinner, if she would find some candles somewhere, was exactly what they needed right now.

Stepping inside her home, she quickly headed to the kitchen to get started right away. The bright red color of the fresh strawberries shimmered beautifully in her hands, while placing them inside a basket. Her effort of being the first one at the market got well paid.
Getting herself ready to work, her body froze in the spot, after a sudden knock cut through her motivated moment. Irritated her look wandered to the clock at the kitchen table and made her feel curious. Maybe her parents were already finished with their short trip to their relatives? Quickly heading torwards the door, (Y/N) felt kind of nervous. Her parents wouldn't knock, but whoever was waiting outside, this person would might ruin her plan for today. There were many things to do.

"(Y/N)-chan...", a familiar voice called out to her and made her gasp.
In a way she was right. He was kind of ruining her plan.

"Na..Nagasi..how? I thought you wouldn't be here before dinner?", she stuttered with reddened cheeks, while watchings his overexcited smile in awe. It always fascinated her how easy he was making her a stuttering mess. His kind and innocent self, combined with his attractive look, made her heart race and cheeks burn furiously.

"We arrived earlier and i couldn't resist to see you right away my sweet butterfly!", Nagasi spoke cheerfully and grabbed her form to pull her into an tight embrace. Flustered, but happy, no overjoyed, (Y/N) hugged back immediately, still her mind was comprehending what was going on.
Pulling back, he gave her this beautiful bright smile, she loved so much and missed dearly. He always was able to lighten up the atmosphere in an instant.

"Wait...(Y/N)-chan your clothes..", he suddenly whispered in awe and made her gasp. Looking down, she totally forgot about her outfit. Fascinated Nagasi read the words "Kiss the cook" out loud, which were printed with large white letters onto the pink fabric. Not to forget the thousands of ridicolous hearts and flowers on every spot possible. (Y/N) always admired her mother's cooking skills and decided to wear her cooking attire as a lucky charm. Even her hair was covered with the matching hair band of the apron.
She could feel how her face was getting hotter and hotter with every minute and it didn't help that her boyfriend was watching her with widened eyes.
