This is the darker book of the two. It's the last scream, so to speak, as a desperate attempt to finally put a lot of difficult things to rest. After I finally met my alter Vexis a few years ago as who they really were, and after a few more difficult months with them, we started to come to a truce after totally splitting. Finally, we decided to add this story to the ongoing universe I'm writing about. So this was healing for them, too.
I realize it's a lot more explicit than the last book, and likely, those who do read the first may not be totally into this one. I considered taming Open Wound a bit, but I felt that would be doing an injustice to the story. It has to be dark and gritty. This shit ain't pretty and it's messy.
Take care, and I hope that if nothing else, this book can help someone understand something that is so hard to put into words.
