There was something about you that I couldn't just shrug off
Perhaps your eyes that beautifully strike my soul
Maybe your laughter that genuinely touches my heart
Or your words that instantly brighten my dayQuite uncertain what draws my attention
Towards those lovely smiles
Perhaps those certainty in your eyes
Or your perfectly-carved liesMaybe I fell for the pitfall
Hidden behind the curves of your lips,
The scrunched nose of yours
Every time you spit words far from being trueHad I noticed quickly,
I would have saved me
Yet after all, it was you
If only it weren't you.
