RDAT7D: Eyes of the Beholder (Merlin x OC)

Chapter 3

"I can't believe him! After his attempt and he thinks his plan would work?" Charlotte was spooked when human Merlin bursted into his room, yelling

"Is this about tomorrow?" She asked, flipping a page on the book she found about artifacts. She was curious if she would find any information about the shoes

"Yes! He plans for the others to search at some dangerous place, while he takes her to the Golden Goose Avenue. While I am stuck in baby sitting duty the damn bunny" she heard some shuffling when he sat down on his bed, ignoring the whining sound he's releasing

"What are looking for, by the way?" He asked

"If there is any article about the bunny. I mean, your teacher did told us anything about magic. Just, nothing like this" she lied

"I could look into it tomorrow if you want. Since I am held as a prisoner here" he suggested. Charlotte placed her elbow and the arm chair, raising it so she could rest her cheek on her hand, book still on hand

"You're engrossed in getting that kiss from Red. I wouldn't want to complicate your plan"

'Sure... that plan' Merlin thought to himself as he stood up and walked towards her. Seating down behind to the other chair that he got. Leaning his forhead on her shoulder. He then felt her fingers brushing his hair

"Exhausted?" She felt him nodding. She was debating whether she should stay or leave. Since she thought that, this might be her last time to have this type of intimacy with him. As Merlin set his goals on getting that kiss from Red Shoes, could only mean... romance.

"I'll leave you to get some rest" Charlotted stood up, making Merlin almost hit his forehead on the top of the back rest

"O-okay then. Good night" he called out. She didn't meet his eyes for him to keep staying human

"Good night" she muttered as she closed the door.

The moment was it... and they didn't took it! Mostly Merlin!

Morning has finally arrived, everyone is still sleeping on their beds. First one to wake up was Charlotte to do her morning training. The stuff that she uses is kept by Arthur as he is the only member who trains in the group.

Gathering the stuff and heading outside, feeling the fresh air. Seems like it will be a good day... at least it would be, maybe for her.

Beginning the training with the usual stretching exercise for her flexibility. Her fighting style is a tad bit complex to do as she mixes two different things that is not a common use to combine and would be frown upon by all masters of swordfighting

Red Shoes woke up and through the window she saw Charlotte. Merlin was already awake and is outside when he suddenly transformed to a dwarf. He turned his direction to see Red and gave her a wave which she reciprocated.

"Lotte! Breakfast is ready" Merlin said and got back to his human form since Red went out of the room to head to the dining area when Arthur looked for her

"I'll just do... some... cool down exercises" she took a deep breath as she is still breathing heavily

"Just... save me a plate"

"No sooner than later. Or I'll eat your share" it made her giggle as she wipes her sweat. She looked to her side to get a glimpse of Merlin

"I know you won't"
