Four days later.

"Oh my goddddd that is sick." Nylah frowned, looking down at her sister's phone.

"And the police didn't even release these. They say they think the killer did." Lani said as they looked at the pictures of a girl that'd been found dead in her home, with her brain snatched from her head.

"People who actually have the stomach to do stuff like this though. Like how do you not throw up after taking somebody's br-nah, that's crazy." She shook her head, and Kylah nodded in agreement.

"And she look like you again. Bitch you gone be next, I'm telling you." Kylah chuckled, and she rolled her eyes, waving her off.

"No I'm not cause I'm staying in the house." She told her.

"Oh-you talm bout like how Ms.NoBrain stayed in the house as well?" Kylah smirked, and Nylah stale faced her, rolling her eyes again.

"Anyways." Nylah chuckled, unlocking her phone.

"Yeah, anyways let's go see the boys please. You haven't been in like a week and a half. Beefing with your boyfriend?" She nudged her shoulder, and she shook her head no.

"Just don't care to be over there right now." Nylah half lied, half told the truth. She didn't want to go over there because she did call herself 'beefing' with Kentrell right now.

She didn't appreciate the way he'd came over unannounced and grabbed her up just because she was asleep and didn't answer his calls.

She wasn't ignoring him on purpose, and she felt like he'd overreacted in all aspects. His reaction was completely unnecessary and uncalled for.

She also didn't like how unintentionally-well she didn't know if he intended to or not-manipulative he was.

The way he was able to switch his tone, his mood, the way he looked at her, to make whatever situation was happening swing in his favor-confused her, and she didn't like it nor did she like being confused.

But a part of her didn't care about it. She felt bad, and all she wanted to do was help him, regardless of the mind tactics he used on her.

She normally wasn't easily manipulated, she usually was very strong in what she thought was right and strong in her feelings. She never second guessed the way she felt.

But for him-it was like she threw all of that out the window. He was so sweet in her own way, and he knew how to put a smile on her face, even if she was upset. Her feelings for him were confusing-but she wouldn't give up on him so easily.

"Pleaseeeee? I'll do your chores for a week. I don't wanna go by myself again." Kylah frowned, looking at her younger sister.

"That's actually very convincing. You better be lucky Coco at daycare." She mumbled as she stood up, and a wide smile spread across Kylah's face.

"Okay come on. I wanna leave before mama comes home from the store so she doesn't ask any questions." Lani told her, and she nodded, sliding her feet into a pair of Saint Laurent sandals.

She pulled down her biker shorts that had rode up over her thighs, following Kylah out of the den.

Nylah loved their large house. It was a five bathroom, five bedroom, with two living rooms, a dining area, and a den that their parents had converted into sort of a chill spot.

The den had arcade games, a large screened TV, couches that could pull out to beds, a bar, a snack closet, along with gaming systems and a pool table.

They also had a pool in the backyard, built into the ground with a hot tub-mostly for their mom who had frequent bone aches due to her immune battle with Lupus.
