It was 4 in the morning and Wilbur laid wide awake in bed for the second day in a row. No matter how hard he had tried, it was absolutely no use because even if he did manage to fall asleep, the dreams—or nightmares as he deemed them—that plagued his heart-broken mind would wake him up again. Reminding him of all the time and love he has wasted into someone who ended up getting bored of him.
Reaching for his phone that he had earlier thrown across the bed, he groaned as the bright light blinded his sight, making him take a moment before they had finally adjusted as to allow him to see the influx of missed calls and texts begging him to just let the senders know that he was even alive which promptly made him turn it off. He wasn't in the mood for talking. He wasn't in the mood for anything actually! All he wanted was to curl up into his bed and have just one peaceful night but he knew that wouldn't be possible. He knew that the second he closed his eyes or even looked around his room, memories of the person he once called his lover would flood his brain and he didn't want that.
