I don't know what pushed me but I stood up to go to the balcony expecting him to follow me and he did. "So this is what you turned into, a lowlife prostitute for politicians. I shouldn't be surprised though, you are showing your true colors," he said mockingly while circling around me. "What gave you the audacity to come to this party? Besides what I do with my life is none of your business, we are divorced."

"This is a business party, what did you expect. I don't have to know Senator Julius, I have connections. So tell me, what did you do to hook him up? spill the beans." He replied while strangling me. I struggled to remove his hands but I couldn't until I remembered my self defence classes. I caught him unawares when I overpowered him, he was shocked when it happened. "You bastard don't you ever try to lay your hands on me ever again or else I'll teach you a lesson you'd never forget."

"Stupid girl, I told you never to raise your voice at me. Do you think that because you now sleep with a Senator that gives you the right to talk to me in that manner." He shouted while charging at me but I was ready with a punch for him. Unfortunately I didn't accomplish my plan because Otunba came to the scene. "Do you guys want to kill each other, guy comot for her now before I land you slap. You no know she be woman, shameless man. You still dey look me abi make I come myself." Otunba said defending me.

"I'll leave now Sylvia, but I'll be back to finish what I started" he said leaving. "What are you doing here Otunba." I said while eyeing him suspiciously. I was mad he interrupted me when I was about to finally kill Ovie. "You don forget me abi, calms na. I get message for you from Mama T, she wan see you for her house. She talk say e dey important." "You know that's not possible, I've cut all ties with her but if I go back there I'd certainly breach the contract. E no dey possible na." "All I know say the thing wey she wan tell you dey very important and no forget who be your Oga for this business."

I looked at him defeated, he's right though. Mama T's the one that made me who I am and I am forever answerable to her. "Fine I'll find a way to come this evening."

"Julius please I'd like to go outside for a walk. I feel a little bit choked up here, I need a bit of fresh air." I didn't know what to tell him so I came up with the idea of going out for sometime. He narrowed his eyes at me and he dragged me to a room where no one could see us. "I don't know where you are going to Sylvia with Otunba but I want you to know that I'm not going to be accountable for anything that happens to you without me being there. I promise you." He said while looking at me pointedly.

I guess he knows where I'm going to and he knows what Mama T urgently wants to discuss with me. For a second I'm scared for my life because I'm dealing with cold hearted people that have a lot of experience in dealing with traitors but I pushed that feeling away. I'm not going to let him get to me I'm stronger than this. Now I'm eager to know what Mama T has to say to me. "I'm going to be fine Julius, I can take care of myself I'm not a baby and I promise I'd never say or do anything to implicate you if that's what you think. I'm forever loyal to you. " I said while kissing him.

I know every button to push to get him putty in my hands and this is one of them. "This is all I wanted to hear from you Sylvia, be fast with whatever you are doing outside and come back to my arms. I can't wait to ravish you tonight." He purred. At the sound of that I fought the urge to throw up so I blew a kiss to him while he left. I sighed in relief when he was nowhere in sight, now I need to get to Otunba at the parking lot.

"Whatever she wants to discuss with me has to be meaningful and she better be fast. I have limited time, I'm surprised Julius let me go willingly, I was expecting him to put up a fight." I said while sitting at the front seat of Otunba's car. I'm a sucker for cars, his was a beaut that I couldn't take my eyes for. "Don't tell me you are falling in love with my car. If so that's very disturbing." He said looking at me weirdly. I was shocked at the way he spoke. For the first time he was really fluent in English. "I'm speaking good English, e shock you abi." He asked.

"Of course I am. " I replied still in shock. "I've being taking a few lessons. I've always dreamt of leaving this country so I want to be ready when the time comes." He said passionately, it looked like he has always had the dream of finally leaving the shackles of this God forbidden country but I wondered why he couldn't leave so I voiced out my thoughts. "You can always leave Otunba what's stopping you." I enquired. It's like my words just extinguished the fire that was in his eyes when he made the statement. He turned to me and replied,

"That's because my line of business doesn't accept leaving just like that. When you get involved in such business it's for life. You, Sylvia should know this because there is no coming out for anyone." I remained silent while I mulled over his words, they struck me like I never expected. There's no going back for me at all, I'm in this for life. As I come to the realisation of this a tear rolls down my face before I can catch it.

"He doesn't trust me so much but we understand each other besides I made up a story to come here. Let's cut to the chase, what's so important that you want to tell me." "Simple, I want you to kill Senator Julius." Hearing what she said made me burst into uncontrollable laughter that made my eyes water. When I looked at her I realised she was darn serious.
