The twins' third year at Hogwarts was just beginning, and their Quidditch captain was already calling their first meeting. Both of the Weasley twins had made the team as beaters the year before, and they were now heading to the locker rooms for one of Wood's infamous pep talks.
As he walked distractedly, George bumped into a girl. Her pale skin contrasted with her dark brown hair, which matched her wandering eyes, and he couldn't help but notice that she was not wearing a uniform. If his older brother Percy was there, he for sure would have scolded her for it.

"Oh, I'm sorry." he said to her "I didn't see you there."

She didn't seem to hear him and just kept walking, her short figure quickly disappearing in the hallway.

George brushed the strange encounter off and kept walking with his brother until they reached the lockers. Most of the team was already there.

"[...] And as you know," he continued, not paying much attention to the new arrivals as he was too engulfed in Quidditch to notice anything else "we need a new seeker. Professor McGonagall is helping me look for one, but we should still hold try-outs next week just in case. It better be a darn good one, too; the other teams are looking strong this year."

He kept quiet for a second, as if debating on whether he should deliver the news or not. Finally, he broke the suspense.

"Ravenclaw has a new chaser."

"What's the big deal about that?" asked Katie Bell "The teams change every year."

"She's really good." responded Wood, and then paused. He looked at the twins for the first time. "I'm going to need you to hit her with the bludgers."

"Don't you mean distract her?" asked George, a bit confused.

"No." the captain responded, shaking his head "I want you to hit her."

Oliver Wood kept talking about more Quidditch related stuff after changing his slightly agressive demeanor until the meeting ended. Practice would start in three days. As the team left the rooms, the twins were talking to Angelina.

"Why do you reckon Wood is so worried about the Ravenclaw chaser?" asked Fred

Angelina stiffled a laugh.

"I heard it's because she's his little sister." she answered, grinning mockingly

"No way! So you think he's just worried about her?" inquired George

"I think he's more worried about us." she said, the smile fading away "I mean, think about it: the Woods are all big on Quidditch. It wouldn't surprise me if they sent them to training camps over the summer. Besides, he did ask you guys to hit her with bludgers."

They spotted Oliver walking ahead of them and called him.

"Yo, Wood!"

"Yeah?" he said making his way to the three friends

"Is the new chaser really your baby sister?"

He blushed. The new chaser was, indeed, his younger sister.

"And you want us to hit her with bludgers!?" Asked Fred, a bit taken aback "I thought you were supposed to protect her!"

"Yeah, like you two have never played any pranks on Ginny."

"Pranks! Not hitting her with bludgers!" responded George defensively. The twins always protected their little sister before anything else.

Oliver shrugged it off.

"Meh, she'll be fine. I reckon Madame Pomfrey will fix her in a second. Quidditch comes first."

With that he walked off, leaving Angelina and the twins baffled at how obsessed their captain was with the sport.

The next day in the Great Hall, George spotted the girl he had ran into. She was out of uniform again, and hopping from table to table seeing if any of the houses had different food from the other. He walked up to her and tried to greet her.

"Uhm... hi." he said. She, once again, didn't seem to hear him. Defeated, George walked back to his table.

"We got our seeker." told him Wood

"But we haven't even had the tryouts!"

"I know, but McGonagall scouted him. It's that Potter kid."

"Isn't he a first year?" said Fred butting in

"Yeah, I don't know. He could be a newborn baby for all I care as long as he's good. And he better be."

"Don't worry, Wood." said Katie. All of the Quidditch team was there now. "I'm certain Professor McGonagall wouldn't have put him on the team if he wasn't good."

"I know, but I need him to be great. He does have Charlie Weasley's shoes to fill, after all."

They all agreed and went back to eating. George couldn't help but look around the Great Hall once more to try and find the girl. She wasn't there.
