Chapter 73 |Finding the motive

They had dinner with the family members before rushing to their respective room for the planned video call that they had been waiting for since morning.

Ahana reached her room as she looked at her phone to see the msg from Sonia with the link embedded in it. She pulled her laptop out and logged in to it before heading to Zoom. She entered the password and Id as the meeting started.

Ahana waited patiently as the screen loaded before the meeting connected and a user name sonia came on the screen. Both Ahana and Sonia's camera and mic were muted so Ahana took the lead. She turned her camera on along with the mic and waved.

Ahana:"Hi"(Soon after few second Sonia's mic and camera also turned on)

Sonia:"Hi Ahana. Sonia here"( She spoke in a foreign accent)

Ahana:"Hi Sonia."

Neil:( Entering the room)" Shona your milk"( Ahana looked up and made a face at Neil)" Don't make faces and drink it. Did the meeting start"( He asked seeing the laptop while Ahana nodded as she shifted a little let's Neil settle down next to her)

Ahana:"Sonia this is my husband Neil."

Neil:"Hello"

Sonia:"Hi.."

Neil forwarded Ahana the milk who gave him a side eye as she signaled towards the laptop. He just shrugged and brought the milk Near her face indicating her to drink.

Ahana:"Neil she is watching"( Ahana whispered yelled at Neil before giving a smile to Sonia who was having a hard time controlling her smile seeing the cute scene in front of her)

Neil:( Replying in the same way)" Her watching won't effect your and the babies health but you not having medicine on time and not drinking this nutritious milk will have a effect. So drink"( He scolded her cutely while she sighed as she took the milk from his hands and drank it quickly before taking her medicine)

Ahana:"Done. Happy?"( She asked tilting her head towards Neil who smiled at her cuteness)

Neil:"Yes jaan. Very happy "( He replied with a soft smile as he wiped Ahana's mouth gently before keeping the glass on the table nearby)

Sonia:(Squealing)" Oh my gosh you guys are adorbs"(Hearing her voice both Neil and Ahana realized that they had an audience. Ahana blushed while Neil frowned in confusion)

Neil:"Adorbs?"

Sonia:"Adorable ofcourse. It's like I am watching a drama"

Ahana:( Laughs a little)" Well Sonia we actually had something important to discuss. "

Sonia:( Getting angry suddenly)" That that jerk. Rajeev. How do you know him Again"

Ahana:"Ahh soo...how do I say this."( Neil held Ahana's hands in reassurance as she sighed before continuing)" He is my ex.... ex-husband."

Sonia:"What he was married "( She looked shocked)"That bastarded he lied to me"

Ahana:"Sonia we need to know everything you know about rajeev"

Neil:"It's really important sonia please try and tell us everything from the point you met him till the last time you heard of him "

Sonia:"Why would it matter now. It's seems like you have already moved on in you life then why do you care now"

Ahana:(Sighed)"Because I was cheated on as well Sonia. He Cheated me as well. And now...he...well let's just say if you want him to get punished for his deeds then we need to know why he did what he did. Motive is what drives a person. We need to know what was Rajeev's motive to cheat on me and you as well."
