Faster Than A Speeding Arrow (Sequel to Love and Secrets)

Chapter 1

Jasmine

I step into my brand new apartment and look around. The spacious living room, newly designed kitchen, and two bedroom apartment already gives off the vibe of home. I smile as I carry my large bag into the bedroom and set it in the closet. The furnished bedroom is cozy and warm as I hang my purse on the top corner of the door. I start to unpack the clothes that survived, and hang them in the closet and set my phone on the bedside table. I set up the picture on the dresser and stare at it for a few moments, the smiling faces of Oliver, Felicity, Roy, Thea, Laurel and Tommy stare back at me. I wipe away a tear quickly from my eye and dial Felicity's cell number. It rings a few times before I get an answer.

"Hello?" She probably didn't check the caller ID.

"Felicity?" I say, then brace myself for the oncoming squeal.

"JASMINE! Omg how are you? Are you settled in? Can I bring the others to come visit yet?" She bombards me with questions and I laugh.

"Felicity relax. I just got into my apartment, I'm about as settled as I can be with the stuff I had with me, sure you can bring the others, and I'm doing okay. How are you?" I finish with a question and she starts to ramble on about everything, about how the SCPD are trying to clean everything, about Tommy's funeral plans.

"That's a lot, I haven't even been gone for a whole day."

"News travels fast when you know the Arrow." She says with a small, light chuckle.

"Oliver is going by the Arrow instead of the Hood now?" I ask.

"Yea, the Hood started to annoy him, because they would associate with with a bunch of crap."

We must have talked for hours, then my phone started to beep. The battery was fine, then I realized I was getting another call.

"Felicity, I got to go, I'll text you later okay?" We say our goodbye's and I hang up on her, and answer the other call.

"Hello, Jasmine speaking," I say, to be greeted with a male's voice.

"Hello, Ms. Knightley. It's Dr. Wells." The voice tells me, and I smile.

"Dr. Wells, it's good to hear from you," I say, sounding polite and formal, something new for me.

"Yes, I was just calling to see if you were still interested in the job offer?"

"Yes sir, I am, when should I come in?"

"The earliest I can get you into start is next week, how does that sound?" He asks, I smile.

"It's perfect. Thank you so much." I say, and I can almost hear the smile in his voice.

"It is not a problem Ms. Knightley" He hangs up, cutting off the line, and I set my phone down. One week to learn the city, shouldn't be too hard. Once I get myself a new car. I stand by the window and look out onto my new home.

This will take some getting used to. I think as I set up my new TV and make some phone calls, to the cable company, the building manager and finally, text Felicity about travel plans.

My address is 615 Main Street, Apartment number 25. Just buzz when you get here and give me an hours notice?

Felicity: Of Course! I can't wait! Everyone will bring house warming gifts!!!! Better have LOTS of food! =D BE EXCITED!

I laugh, this is going to be a great week.

So here is chapter one, what do you think? I'm hoping this will be as good as the first book, and you guys will support me through this. I am planning on having a more regular updating schedule, and not one chapter here, one in three months, then one two days later, kinda thing.

If it does happen, please bear with me, and feel free to ask when the next update is coming. I am really good at responding to messages and such, so feel free to message me about anything. The chapters will also be longer than this one, I cannot wait for everything to get moving! It's going to be so much fun!
