Chapter 3

-----9 MONTHS LATER-----

Jasmine

"Cisco! Caitlin! I think he's waking up!" I call across the lab, watching Barry's vital jump from the unconscious state they sat in for months, slowly rise. Along with Cisco and Caitlin, I was asked to help bring Barry Allen back to life after the doctors couldn't figure out why he was going into cardiac arrest, and why the power went out every time he did. So when Detective West and Iris gave Dr. Well and I the okay to bring him back to Star Labs after the explosion, I trusted him to know what he was doing. If we messed up, his death would be on our hands, and further stain the name and reputation of Star Labs and Dr. Wells, especially after we had been considered a Class Four Hazard. Cisco and Caitlin rush over and lean over him, Cisco turning on Lady Gaga for the hundredth time in the last few days. Every time Barry's vital spiked, he thought it meant Barry was waking up, and proceeded to play his favorite song, at least that what Cisco said Barry's online presence liked.

"Where am I?" He groans, and sits himself up. Cisco and Caitlin proceed to bombard him with questions and information, and I sit at one of the computers checking my Facebook.

"Mr. Allen. Glad you're awake. I see you've met Cisco and Caitlin." Barry nods and the two men make their way out of the main room for the tour. Scrolling through my feed, I see photos of Felicity and Oliver, and everyone back home. I smile, hit like, and a message pops up on my screen.

Felicity: When are you coming to visit?????

I smile and type back my response.

I can't yet. Dr. Wells has me doing so much stuff lately, it's been crazy.

I hit send, and hope it seems convincing. I don't want to have to go into extreme detail, but knowing Felicity,  she's going to ask.

Felicity: What have you been doing? We haven't talked much in the last few months. I miss yoooooou

I sigh, and as I'm about to start typing, Dr. Wells and Barry walk back in. I shut Facebook and stand up.

"So since you met Cisco and Caitlin, I thought you should also meet Jasmine as well, she helps with the books to keep this place running." Dr. Wells introduces e and I smile, waving to Barry.

"Barry Allen." He says, holding out his hand.

"I know," I say, then mentally slap myself. "Jasmine," I add on quickly with a smile.

"We should run a few tests, make sure you're okay."Caitlin pipes up, trying to get me out of the awkward situation I just managed to put myself in.

"I'm fine," Barry says. "I need to go see Iris. Thank you for all the help and not letting me die." He says as he runs out the door. Silence rests in the room shortly after he leaves.

"I'm gonna get some coffee. Anyone want coffee?" I say.

Omg hey guys! So it's been over a month, not too bad right? I'm just getting back into the habit of writing, and this seems to be as far as I can get the chapter to go. I'm hoping to get another one out ASAP, but sadly no promises with my schedule. I love you all. And Barry is awake! Jasmine is also awkward AF. So let's see how this goes right? 

I promise I'll make the chapters longer as the story goes on.
