Barry

I start to walk away from Jasmine, holding my hand as it started vibrating at top speed.

"What is happening to me?" I say to myself and duck into an alleyway, and my hand stops as I stare and focus. I look up, and run towards the trash bin, slamming into it almost instantly. I look back to where I was standing. Shaking as I stand up, I run towards the street, slamming myself, by accident, into a laundry truck. I roll out of the pile of linens and looking at my hands, watch the vibrations. I look back to the street then run back towards the lab.

"Awesome."

-----

Standing in a trailer, I put on a questionable red jumpsuit and swimming goggles, Caitlin and Dr. Wells talk about my insane speed abilities with some doubt.

"How does it fit?" Cisco calls into the trailer and I walk out in the skintight suit.

"A little snug," I reply, looking into the open field.

"At least you'll be moving so fast no one will see you." Cisco walks me down the stairs and towards the tent with Caitlin and Dr. Wells.

"You thought the world was slowing down, but it really wasn't." He explains. "You were moving so fast, it only looked like everyone was standing still."

Pointing to Dr. Wells and Caitlin, Cisco explains what will be happening, and parts of my suit. He takes the helmet off to make some last adjustments, and Caitlin walks over to take my pre-experiment vitals.

"What?" She snaps, as I look at her.

"Nothing. Just notice you don't smile to much." I respond. She stares.

"My once-promising career in bioengineering is over, my boss is in a wheelchair for life, and the explosion that put you in a coma killed my fiance. I think this blank expression is the right way to go." She states, taps on the tablet, then walks back t the tent.

"Mr. Allen." Dr. Wells pulls my attention. "While I am eager to test the full range of your abilities, I do caution restraint." I nod then set myself up in the runner pads.

I take off in a blur of speed, racing down the runway. My vision changes suddenly.

Mom is sitting in the circle surrounded by the yellow energy, calling for me to run.

Coming back to in the split second, a split second too late, I slam right into the metal barrels at the end of the track.

Jasmine

-A few hours later-

"Caitlin look at this." I pass her the tablet with x-rays of Barry's broken wrist.

"Yea, he has a Distal radius fracture." She says, looking at it.

"Not anymore." I swipe to the next slide and his wrist is healed. She stares at the screen.

"How is this possible?" She asks, looking back at me.

"Caitlin, I don't know. You're the doctor." I say, and clean up the counters.

"I'm a bioengineer." She says, staring at the screen.

"Still more than me, I just knew he broke his wrist and helped wrap it up." Putting away the first aid supplies, I go back to a computer and open up the news. Caitlin walks to talk to Barry, tell him about his wrist, and I follow in a few minutes later. Cisco is holding up the busted helmet and everyone is crowded around Barry listening to the story about his parents. I sneak out of the room and down the hall, knowing the story well.

Wanting to know who I was helping after the STAR labs explosion prompted me to look into him and his life, bring up articles upon articles about Dr. Allen. My heart hurts thinking about what he went to at such a young age.

"Jasmine?" Cisco walks down the hall, and I shake myself out of my thoughts.

"Yea? What's up?" I ask, checking my phone for the news updates.

"Barry wanted to talk to you, and no one knew where you went, so I came looking.

Barry wants to talk to me?

"Yea sure, he still on the bed?"

"Yea, Caitlin is sitting there pelting him with questions about his wrist." His dorky smile brings a smile to my face, and I walk down the hall with him.

"What made you decide to work at Star Labs anyway?" He asks, changing the subject. I shrug.

"Needed a change, Dr. Wells offered me a job, even though I only have intro college science classes," I say with a light laugh.

"Dr. Wells never told us you were coming, and you never talked about yourself. Are you from Central city?"He asks, and I take a deep breath, trying to assess the situation carefully.

"No, I'm from Starling City." I start. "I accepted this job after all the drama that happened in Starling City, and I wanted  change from account management at Queen Consolidated and-"

"Wait. You worked at Queen Consolidated?" H asks, incredulously. I nod my head.

"So you worked closely with Oliver Queen and them right?" He asks, and I nod again.

"Well, sort of. Oliver was my boss, I mostly worked with my friend Felicity." I added.

"So you worked and lived in Staling City, then just upped an moved here after all the drama." He recited, and I nod my head again. We stand at the door that separates us from Caitlin, Dr. Wells and Barry. Cisco puts his hand on the knob, then stopsand looks at me.

"Do you know the Arrow?"

A/N

Holy Crap. Guys I am so sorry. I know this is way to short for the long wait you all had, but I swear I am trying my best. My life has taken a turn (For the better hopefully) and I am still trying to  factor in all my writing. I'm almost finished the Flash Season One (FINALLY).

Thank you so much for sticking around, and I apologize in advance for slow updates. Barry Allen is hard to write for, so chapters that have me writing his perspective may take a bit longer than writing for anyone else.

I love you all, and here is Chapter 5!
