Luna's POV:

I awoke on the bed with no covers nor pillows. I rolled to the end of the bed and found everything on the floor.

"Ugh" I whined. Ever since I was little, I have always kicked the covers off the bed, sometimes the pillows, but it's quite annoying in the morning when your cold, and want a pillow too. I slid off the bed and draped the blankets back over myself and put my pillow behind my head. I shut my eyes for what felt like 2 minutes, but it turned out to be two more hours.

I awoke to Klaus bursting through the doors. I guess he didn't see me.

"Luna! Luna where are you?" Klaus yelled. I lifted my hand up and started waving hoping he would see it over the bed.

"Over here." I mumbled into the pillow. Klaus stormed over then stopped in his tracks when he saw me lying on my stomach with my face in a pillow and a huge pile of blankets on top of me.

"Never mind. I thought you left.. and you have a bed, use it." Klaus stared.

"I'm 14 and in Portland, I know nobody here where would I go? And I did sleep in the bed I just slid onto the floor at one point." I mumbled into the pillow once again with my eyes still closed. I heard Klaus chuckle and I could practically hear his smirk.

"We must get going, turning werewolves and all..." he drawled.

"No... Can't I just stay here? I won't leave, if I do you'll probably kill my dad, and you can compel me, I think, but don't use that against me!"  I whined as I turned over and saw Klaus sitting on the bed.

"I suppose you can stay, but if you leave I will not hesitate to hurt anyone in your family." Klaus stated matter of factly.

"Humble." I hummed. Klaus left the room, but not before he said goodbye. After a few minutes I threw the pillow and blanket back on the bed, got under the covers, then went to sleep, again.

2.5 hours later...

When I awoke, I got out of bed and changed into black sweatpants and a white oversized hoodie with white tennis shoes. I left 'my' room and went to the kitchen and looked in the pantry which was huge by the way. I found a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and poured myself a bowl. Half way done threw eating, Klaus entered the kitchen walking with purpose. I looked up to him when he started talking.

"We're heading back to Mystic Falls immediately, pack your stuff."

"Why? I mean I'm glad we're going back, but why?" I asked. Klaus turned to meet my eyes.

"Oh dear Luna, It's homecoming!"

A few hours later in Klaus' car

I was sat in front seat of Klaus' black range Rover, and I had my feet on the dashboard.

"Put your feet down." Klaus said sternly. I listened and put the my feet down.

" do you know how long the drive is going to be?" I asked tiredly/in a bored tone.

"About two days." Klaus shrugged. I leaned my head on the window and watched as my breath fogged the window then defogged. We passed sign after sign until we got to the next state. Then once again it was sign after sign until the next state again, this happened until we arrived in Nebraska. We drive to the nearest town, then Klaus pulled into a fancy hotels parking lot. He got out of the car, as did I and started walking away.

"Come on love." He coaxed.

"I know I know. I'm coming." I replied. We walked into the building and it was very nice, but Klaus' penthouse was nicer. I followed Klaus to the front desk.

"Hello love. Can I please have a 2 room sweet?" Klaus asked politely.

"The worker looked up to Klaus.

"Yes you can, you just got the last one!" The woman exclaimed. Klaus pulled out a fancy looking debit card and paid for the room. I picked up my bag and swung it over my shoulder as Klaus and I followed the bellboy.

"You look tired little wolf." Klaus muttered.

"I am, I can never sleep in cars." I shrugged. Klaus was about ti say something but was cut off.

"Here is your room sir." The bellboy announced.

"Thank you." Klaus and I said in unison. Klaus took out his wallet and gave the boy a $100 bill.

"I can't take this sir, this is too much." The boy said.

"Nonsense, it's all yours!" Klaus smiled.

"Thank you! Have a good stay!" The boy chirped. The boy walked away and Klaus and I walked into the room.

"Oh my god! Did the almighty Klaus Mikaelson just do something nice to a random stranger?!" I mocked enthusiasm.

" I may be the almighty hybrid, but I could smell that boys blood and he was quite malnourished, oh and he had quite a stench if I do say so myself so..." Klaus drawled.

"And did he also have a real, genuine smile?" I gasped. Klaus smiled again and shook us head.

"Apparently he did." He spoke. I smiled.

"Go find your room, and take your bag." Klaus mused. I nodded and picked up my bag once again. I walked straight to The window and turn left, which let me to one of the bedroom. I plopped my stuff down onto the ground then flopped on the bed.

"Ugh, I wish my bed was as comfy as this." I mumbled into the duvet. I heard I chuckle behind me.

"You know love, I could just get you one." Klaus said.

"Why would you do that?" I asked as I lifted my head to look at him.

"As an apology to what I have to tell you now." He mumbled as he walked into the room and sat next to me on the bed.

"Luna, I brought you with me to tell you about your mother. While we were in Portland, I found some information about her. Turns out your mother is semi-alive, she's a vampire. I don't know how, because after a werewolf has triggered its curse, they can't be turned into vampires unless I turn them into hybrids. I asked a witch about it, and she said it's never happened before, and that it must have had a loophole of some sorts, and I've been trying to figure it out, but I've had no luck. I'm sorry." Klaus explained. I looked at him teary eyes.

"My moms still alive?" I asked in a whisper, Klaus nodded yes, but it just made me sadder. My mom had been alive for the past 7.5 years and hasn't even tried to come see me, or tell me she's alive, and all this time I've been blaming myself, and I hate her for that, but I love her, but I hate her.

"Are you 100% sure that it's my mom and not another doppelgänger or something?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes I'm sure, and I have people looking out for her as we speak." Klaus assured.

"Why are you helping me, I mean why do I get your help?" I asked between heavy breaths.

"Because you Luna are special and smart and too young to go through this in your own, and every child that is as special as you deserves a chance to find peace at what bothers them most." Klaus said. A few tears rolled down my cheeks and I quickly wiped them away so Klaus wouldn't see, but he did, though he didn't mention it.

"You should get some rest Luna, we have to leave in the morning." Klaus told me softly. I nodded and for under the covers as he left to walk to the door.

"Good night little wolf." He whispered as I dozed off to sleep.
