♕ Chapter 7 ♕

Narcissa: You should be Hydra, your father is coming home any minute now, and if he sees that something is broken-

{A bang of the front door opening and closing breaks off the Malfoy mother's sentence. The three Malfoy's run to see their father/husband looking at the broken glass window.}

Lucius: Who did this?

{At that moment the screen goes dark before a 'Reptile House' was shown.}

The people currently in the Great Hall all groan, as they all wanted to know what happened next. They proceed to look at the Malfoy siblings in anticipation. The Malfoys share a look before promptly turning back to the screen. People are sad they didn't get to know what happened while Sirius looks at Hydra with a knowing look. A look she pretends not to notice.

''Are you alright dear?" Mia asks while looking at her with a knowing and concerned look.

"Yeah of course I am. Why wouldn't be?" Hydra responds acting clueless.

Mia just shakes her head before turning back.

This all happens while Hydra clutches George's hand. George kisses the back of her hand and squeezes her hand reassuringly before turning to the screen. Still squeezing her hand as the movie continues. Hydra blushes at this, even though they had done this for a long time. Hydra's love language was physical affection and George knew that, so he made sure to shower her with as much hand holding, hugging, etcetera all the time. Not that she was complaining.

{People are going in and out of the 'Reptile House'. A Burmese python is revealed next on the screen, behind a fence are the Dursleys and Harry looking at the snake.}

Dudley: Make it move.

{Vernon taps the glass barrier in an attempt to make the snake move.}

Vernon: Move!

{Dudely proceeds to bang on the glass border in a more aggressive manner than his father.}

Dudley: Move!

{Harry then looks at Dudley with an annoyed gaze and says.}

Harry: He's asleep!

Dudley: He's boring.

"You're boring!" all the Slytherins say to the screen while everyone turns to look at them in shock.

"What?'' Regulus snaps at the shocked faces.

"Oh, nothing. Just surprised at your defensiveness." A random 3rd-year Ravenclaw says. Regulus and most of the Slytherins roll their eyes at this.

{The Dursleys leave the Burmese python and Harry alone in the search for another creature.}

''Is this what you meant?" Ron asks Harry in reference to their second year.

Harry nods wordlessly to his question.

"Is what, what he meant?" Esmeray questions the two boys.

"Oh, nothing." they both respond in unison. Innocent smiles painting their faces.

Harry: Sorry about him. He doesn't understand what it's like, lying there day after day watching people press their ugly faces in on you.

"Were you talking to a snake?"  Rebastan Lestrange asks the 15-year-old watching himself.

"I was 10 ok!" Harry huffs back in embarrassment.

The four Slytherin friends laugh together, the time-travellers laughing too with Harry. Sirius looks at Regulus in longing as he laughs with his friends. A look Regulus notices but chooses to ignore.

{The snake winks at Harry.}

People started to get weirded out by the interaction, especially the wink.

Harry: Can you hear me?

{The snake then nods to Harry's most recent words.}

People are confused as to how the snake can understand Harry. As far as everyone knew there weren't any parseltongues in the Potter bloodline. Death Eaters are as well confused, as the Potter heir shares the same gift as their beloved Dark Lord.

Harry: It's just, I've never talked to a snake before. Do you-I mean, do you talk to people often?

{The snake shakes its head.}

Harry: You're from Burma, aren't you? Was it nice there? Do you miss your family?

{The snake nods to a 'Bred in captivity' sign by the entrance.}

Harry: I see. That's me as well. I never knew my parents either.

Dudley: Mommy, Dad, come here! You won't believe what this snake is doing!

{Dudley runs up to Harry and the snake before shoving Harry to the floor. Dudley presses his hands to the glass, while Harry glares at him from the floor. The glass then disappears causing Dudley to fall into the water. The snake leaves the cage while people scream in fear.}

"That is some powerful accidental magic, Mr. Potter." McGonagall praises Harry.

"Thank you, Professor." Harry smiles at one of his teachers.

The snake: Thanksss.

Harry: Anytime.

Random Man: Snake!

{The snake then leaves while people are still screaming in fear and moving away from the creature. When Dudley gets up from the water he then tries to leave the old snake's cage but realizes the glass has returned. Dudley starts panicking while screaming for his mum.}

Dudley: Mum! Mommy! Help me!

{Petunia screams in panic when she sees her son in the cage.}

Petunia: My darling boy! How did you get in there?

{Petunia presses her hands as though it will disappear while still franticly yelling.}

Petunia: Who did this? How did you get in there? Is there a snake?

{Harry then laughs at the two in amusement.}

All of the Great Hall are laughing with Harry as the mother and son duo panic. The time-travellers, marauders, Prewett twins, and the four Slytherins are practically dying of laughter.

As cardan should tbh jude>>>>everyone else so he has his priorities straight anyways
so i will be continuing this book but im thinking of also making a normal fanfic with the same everything but not watching the movies like before they do this so tell me ur thoughts abt that idea and im sk happy people are liking this book, well i assume people are liking this book but still, lastly i decided to post today cz i was in my english class and i was bored so like yh
