Part 14

In the middle of Kurts 15 days break is a very special day. Not for Kurt but for Blaine. And Finn. Okay for all the New Directions. It's time for the sectionals. After a long, long talk with Doctor Martin Kurt is allowed to go and watch the competition. As long as he comes back straight after and Carol stays with him. Fortunately Carol is there anyway to watch her son perform so it's not that big of a deal.

Before Kurt takes a seat he goes backstage to his friends. He even has enough strength back to walk without help. It's going better with him again. Finally. But just in case Carol goes with him. "Hey guys" the boy announces his presence and everyone turns around to him, smiling as they can finally see him again. "Kurtie!" Rachel says enthusiastically and goes to hug her best friend. The rest of the group joins quickly. "How are you?" Now Mercedes asks and Kurt can see the slight worry in her eyes. "Cancer sided: better. Chemo sided: I'm miserable but we're on a break and I was worse. In general: okay. At least at the moment" Kurt answers after thinking a moment what he's going to say. "It's great to have you here Kurt" Mr. Schue joins the convention and Kurt answers smiling "I told you that I would come and watch. Also it's nice to see something not hospital related for and exchange".

Everyone goes back on getting ready and preparing for their performance in a few moments. Kurt uses this time to talk to some of the members alone. "Rach? I just want to say that you'll kill it!" Kurt says making Rachel laugh "I know. But still, it's different without you". "Don't worry. Well sing together again soon." the boy says. Rachel hugs him tightly "Yes we will. Once you're back to healthy and strong again.".

After talking to Rachel Kurt goes over to his brother. "Break a leg" he says to the tall boy which turns around at the sound of his brothers voice behind him "Thanks". He hugs his brother and mumbles "I'm glad that you wanted to join the glee club", makingKurt laugh quietly. When they started school Burt said that Kurt only was allowed to go to clubs if Finn goes with him because he was worried that something could happen to his son. So Finn went to Glee only for Kurt and now he loves this club and the New directions are his friends. "After the competition I'll drive back to the hospital with you and we'll watch a movie or something" Finn proposes but the smaller boy shakes his head "You'll celebrate with the new directions. I'll watch a movie and work on my fashion notebook.". "Are you sure?" Finn asks and his brother nods "Yes"

Next Kurt makes his way to his love. "Are you nervous?" He asks, seeing the smaller boy nod "that obvious?". "Just a guess" Kurt answers smiling, taking Blaines hand. "I really wish that I could be up on that stage with you" he admits. Blaine nods "Me too. But we will some other time. First get healthy again. I think about you on stage if I can't see you". "I'll sit first row. You can't not see me" the taller boy laughs quietly before placing a kiss on his boyfriends lips and hugging him tightly after.

They break the hug as the signal comes on, telling them they're up in a few minutes and should slowly go to the stage. "Cycle up guys" Mr. Schue announces. "Can I-" Kurt starts but Santana cuts him off "Get in here" and pulls him next to her. "What if Kurt does the pep talk today?" The teacher proposes and everyone agrees, looking to Kurt expectantly. "You guys will rock it today. Blaine and Finn spent a lot time practicing in my room, asking me if it looks or sound good when they kept me company. Every time I would answer the that it's amazing and I'm proud of all of you guys. But the important thing is to have fun and enjoy your time up there, no matter how it goes. And maybe think of me in a song or so yeah? I'm sitting front row, cheering the loudest for y'all" Kurt says smiling. Before they could break the cycle Mike says "Of course we'll think about you" and Tina next to him adds "We'll think about you the whole performance". "Hands together" Finn calms and all hands meet in the middle, raising high in the air as they cheer "Amazing!". Then they leave the room. Kurt and Carol go to search for Burt, who was holding their seats and the new directions go to the stage.
