Healing and Confession

It all started with her mental health, the flashbacks she constantly got from King Komodo were unbearable. Always waking up covered in sweat and tears, that's why they've decided to ask Kirby and Master Splinter for help

But first, they were gonna get her bandages and plaster removed, since they've already healed

"Well, can't wait to walk again" Nuwa said while Donnie was removing the plaster from her leg

"It should be good to go, just take careful steps" Donnie nodded as he got the plaster off her leg

Nuwa sat in the edge of the bed while wearing a dark turquoise, oversized shirt and cloth pants. Her big cuts all over her body and the right side of her face had not turned into scars, but it didn't look too bad

Donnie gave her a hand and they walked slowly across the lair, little steps so that it won't get hurt again. They entered the dojo where Kirby and Master Splinter were waiting for her

"Nice that you're here, Nuwa" Kirby smiled as Donnie helped her lay down on the floor where candles were laying around her on the floor

Donnie left the dojo to let them do their session, he walked to the living room where his brothers, April and Casey were sitting

"And?" Leo asked as Donnie replied

"They're staring the first session, those flashbacks of King Komodo must've really messed her up"

"Well, I hope she's doing ok" Raph said

After what seemed like half an hour, Nuwa walked out of the dojo and the others helped her to sit down

"So, how did it go?" Casey asked

"Y'know, it went well" Nuwa shrugged as leaned back onto the couch, only to get back up and hold her back while groaning

"Your back ok, Nuwa?" April asked as she started massaging her lower back

"Ooh, ooh, yeah. A little higher, oh, yeah... that's the spot" Nuwa hummed in satisfaction

Later on, Nuwa and Simon were at the docks to get her back into her Avatar-fighting shape. The Turtles and Mutanimals were both watching how it's going

"Ok, bring it" Simon said

Nuwa got into position and kicked a blast of air at him, which he dodged successfully and kicked a rock at her. She ducked down and swiped her foot at him with fire, barely touching his hair

"Whoo, ok, you're going forward!" Simon panted with a smile

They continued to this for weeks and the weeks turned to months, but it was all worth it. Nuwa gained some of her muscles back, she good back into her fighting-shape and her mental health was getting better

There was only one thing she wanted to accomplish, getting control of the Avatar State. She was nervous about it, but she relied on the others that everything would be fine

Nuwa was at the docks and stared at the sunset while sitting in the ground cross-legged, she looked back to see April standing there, along with the others

"You can do it" April smiled as she kneeled in front of Nuwa

"I don't know if I can, what if I forget about you and you guys are gonna forget me?" Nuwa asked as April could sense fear in her voice and held both of her arms

"You may have to let go of us, but we will never let go of you" April replied as she stood up and walked back to the two teams, who were smiling and nodded at her

Nuwa sighed and got into position to open her 7th Chakra and closed her eyes and sat there

The others were watching her while waiting for something to happen

Suddenly, a strong wind was coming up that surrounded Nuwa and she opened her eyes for the others to see they were glowing white, she successfully opened her 7th Chakra and was given full control of the Avatar State

She levitated from the ground and stood back on her feet, she them waterbent a enormous wave from the sea behind her and it over-towered them all

They all gasped in amazement and saw how Nuwa made that wave explode, resulting it into creating rain

The others gasped and laughed while taking cover, until the 'rain' stopped

Nuwa stood there with her eyes glowing white, until they've turned back to normal

They cheered for her and pulled her in for a groups hug, telling her they're proud of her and all sorts of other stuff

"I knew you could do it" April said as she had her arm wrapped around Nuwa's shoulder

"Yeah, don't ever feel like you need to hide something, you can tell us. And I'm sorry for the way I've reacted" Leo replied once again

"And for the 14th time, you're forgiven" Nuwa chuckled

They've celebrated Nuwa's process at the lair with lots of snacks and of course, Mikey's special dishes, which almost no one dared to eat

After that, Nuwa got back at the docks and was standing at the end of the pier, staring at at the ocean and the sunset

She sat down at the edge and lets her feet touch the cooling ocean water, she looked down and waterbent half a gallon of water out it, where a small fish was swimming in it

"Oops, my bad" Nuwa grinned awkwardly as she placed it back into the water and stood up

"Hey, Nuwa"

She turned around and saw April standing there and walked over to her

"Hi, April" Nuwa chimed as they both stared out at the horizon

"It's beautiful" April sighed as she suddenly remembered why she came here and cleared her throat

"Nuwa?"

"Hm?" Nuwa hummed as she turned around to face April

"I-I've been waiting for this moment to happen and to confess something. Nuwa, you've always been my best friend, but I want to be more than that, I.... Nuwa... I love-"

April got cut off by Nuwa pulling her in and kissing her lips, April froze as her eyes widened and her cheeks turned bright red. Nuwa pulled away and cupped her face

"I've waited so long for you to tell me, I-I couldn't help, but tell you myself. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me in my whole entire life and I want to live with you as long as possible"

April's eyes filled with tears as she jumped in and wrapped her arms around Nuwa's neck, kissing her while Nuwa kissed back and wrapped her arms around her waist
