A warning for violence has been put before and after such a scene.

Amity POV

It's the last lesson of the day. I'm physically there but, I'm too lost in my thoughts to pay attention.

Today will be Luz's and I's last tutoring session. I had already spoken to the professor and the oath was unbound because of it ending a lot sooner than we first thought but, I kind of wish it could go on for longer. Not because tutoring is fun but because I've realised how much of a hard time I was giving Luz before and... now that our tutoring is going to come to an end... what if I have to start being mean to her again?

I don't hate the human anymore, I don't think I would even go as far to say as I dislike her... but if I start acting friendly towards her with no excuse to cover myself up then, people are going to get suspicious and, my parents...

The bell screams, making my thoughts come to an abrupt end.

I shake my head to snap back into reality and start hurriedly packing my things into my bag before swinging it over my shoulder and walking out of class.

"Amity!" a familiar voice called.

I spin around to see Luz waving at me, I return the wave and she starts jogging towards me.

"Amity, have you seen my uh..." she rubs the back of her neck, "I had a fictional book with me yesterday... the cover is a purple colour with a witch holding a staff on the front. Have you seen it anywhere?"

Right, the Azura book.

I couldn't help but smile before pulling it out of my bag, "don't worry, I'm also an Azura fan."

Her eyes widened and her mouth curled into a huge smile, "You can get these on the Boiling Isles?!" she jumps up and down excitedly.

I giggle to myself before saying, "Yeah, though, it's not a very common interest around here."

"Well, thank you so much for holding onto this for me!"

Before I could reply, Luz wraps her arms around me making me smile softly to myself.

It's funny how much a hug can mean to someone like me.

She pulls away, "now, let's head to the library! I've been practising and I made two other abominations back at the owl house!" she smiles widely.

"Okay, let's see what you got."

We start walking together to the library, talking about our adored Azura series, sharing giggles and smiles.

Titan, I hope I don't have to go back to being mean to her after this...

We'd made our way to the library, pushing open the doors and sitting where we had yesterday.

Luz pulls out her pre-drawn glyph combinations, barely containing her excitement before shutting her eyes to focus.

"Abomination, rise."

Her hands start moulding the purple goo without physically touching it and, noticeably quicker than yesterday, an abomination had formed right before my eyes.

I stare, wide-eyed, absolutely amazed at the fact the human sitting beside me had gone from casting a spell puddle to casting a full-fledged abomination spell.

Luz giggles under her breath, "don't look so astounded, I had you teaching me, I was going to end up with something close to amazing!"

I look over at her, an ear-to-ear smile on her face.
I couldn't help but lightly smile back.
