Insecurities (Ashton)

Ashton:

You were getting ready for an award show the 5SOS boys were attending. They were nominated for two awards and had loads of potential in their categories.

Ashton, your boyfriend, had requested you be his date to the event. You went dress shopping and found a beautiful silver gown you would wear.

You talked to your friends on how to do your makeup and your hair. They all agreed to wear your hair up. You refused to do so because you hated how your ears looked. You thought your ears were too big and poked out too far. You had that problem as a kid, so you have not worn your hair up - in public - for years.

Your friends kept pestering you about your hair, so you told them to come over and fix it for you. If you didn't like it, they agreed to curl it and leave it down.

Ashton walked in as they were fixing your hair.

"I don't think I've seen you with your hair up." He smiled as he sat across from you. Your face turned red and you looked down.

"I don't think I want it up." You mumbled.

"It looks so good!" Your friends argued.

"Why would you not want it up? It looks great." Ashton said confused.

"My ears are so huge! I look like an idiot." You confessed as you looked up at a mirror. Tears burned your eyes as you thought back to how people would tease you and call you names because of your ears.

"They're not big." Ashton laughed. "They're a normal size."

"No, they're not! I can't even wear earrings or it will draw attention to them." I wiped at my eyes. Your friends left the room as Ashton got closer to you.

"You don't have big ears. Maybe when you were a kid, they seemed big. You are grown now and they're not oversized. You look great with your hair up, don't believe anyone who says otherwise. I promise you look as gorgeous as ever."
