(Joe pov)
Ah man, I totally spoke too soon.
—"Joe?.." a familiar voice called my name again.
"Oh my gosh!" I replied, shocked as I saw who it was standing across from me.
"Haha, Hey you! Joe, strange seeing you here." The girl told me, putting her arms out to give me a hug.
"Yeah, sure. It really is...Ashley." I said, accepting the hug.
"So how have you been these years?" She says, making a conversation out of this small talk I originally thought we were going to have before I knew it was time for me to go about my days.
"Oh, you know me, just chillaxing. Haha, and you?" I answered.
"Oh! Um...just been doing some gigs, nothing really. Hey! If you don't mind, maybe you and I co—.." she asked as I just nodded, already knowing what she was going to ask.
"Okay, well... I gotta get moving, but I'll see ya later. Hope to run into you again!" She says as we handed each other our numbers before she waved goodbye and ran off to meet with her friends.
"Uh...yeah sure bye." I said before heading to the counter to pay for what I needed.
Once I got everything that I paid for it. I rushed to leave the store when I accidentally bumped into something or...should I say, someone?
"Ouch! Hey, be careful m—"
"Joe?"
"Demetria, Wha—-"
Honestly out of the girls I've seen and dated before, this right here and only this one is really a nice surprise.
"Hey, I see you'd noticed the carnival here, huh?"
"Yeah."
"So you wanna get on some rides, you know hang out and maybe get some snack along the way."
"Yeah sure, i would really like that."
"Okay, let's go then."
We went on some really, really fun rides and ate a few snacks, took some pictures together just enjoying each other. And just as we were having a moment, I felt a phone vibrate and it was hers. Hmmm, I wonder who that could be?
"Ooh, I gotta text. Um, I brought along a friend of mine with me, do you mind?"
"Oooh, who? What's her name? Does sh-?"
"Her?! Haha, oh my gosh, you thought I was bringing in my girlfriends.." she laughs.
"Huh?" I said, being puzzled.
"Yeah, That's right..she's my lady." A dude said, approaching us than holding Demi's close to him.
"Joe, I meant to say him. Okay, this right here is my friend, Fezco."
Nice to meet you, Joe Jonas. She told me stuff about you."
"Really?"
"Mmhmm....well, my lady and I have to get going if ya wa-"
"Uh..Nah, it's cool..totally fine. Okay then. Well, I gotta get home, my daughter's probably waiting for me s-"
"Huh, You have a child?"
"Yeah, her name's Michelle and anywho, I gotta go now, see ya maybe"
"Hey, Joe. Tell her I said hi."
"I will, bye."
