Part 7 - Bad Day

Before I chased Eren, he was in the process of slipping something under my door. 3 weird notes. Fantastic. I thought and rolled my eyes. I shut the door with my leg and bent over to pick the note up. I went over to place the grocery bags on the counter and went to sit in the comfort of my bed, debating whether I should just grow some balls and just open this one or just leave my mind to be curious as it eats me alive. I sighed and started to read it.

Why do his stupid notes never make sense? By his side? Forever? Yeah no. I thought as I stuffed the notes under my pillow and stood up. I walked to the bathroom as a sigh made its way out of my mouth and I went over to my bathroom. I turned on the tap and splashed water onto my face to refresh my mind from today's events. With my face drenched, I reached to grab the towel off the hook and dried off the water. 

I checked the time on my watch as I walked to the kitchen. 8:06, the watch on my wrist read. 

I pulled out a tea bag from one of the bags and started to warm up some water on the stove, as I waited for the water to boil, I went to grab the sugar, from the same bag, I had bought earlier and added 2 teaspoons to my cup. Hearing the familiar and rather annoying sound coming from the boiling water, I immediately picked up the pot full of hot water and poured it into my cup. I stirred the tea and waited patiently for it to cool down a little so it could be drinkable.

I carefully picked up the cup after waiting and I slowly brought the cup to my lips and took a sip, I smiled softly as the perfectly made tea slithered its way down my throat. I made my way to the balcony to get some fresh air. I leaned against the rail and looked up to the full moon up in the dark sky. Below me, there were some drunk men who had been lingering in the nearby road, they were pretty loud which had caused my eyebrow to twitch in frustration. "Can't someone get any peace and quiet these days? Jeez." I muttered and took a sip from my cup.

And all of a sudden, Eren had crossed my mind. It was as if he was the one who had caused me to think of him.

I had thought about how we kissed, it was so delicate and smooth, how his hands perfectly rested on my waist, how his eyes held so much adoration. A wave of an unknown feeling came across my stomach. I hadn't felt it before, it was foreign to me. But part of me liked it. I wanted to experience it again. I wanted to see him again. 

I took the last sip of my tea and continued to look up in the sky, it was clear. Not a single star in sight.

"You know Y/n, it's mainly bad luck if there arent any stars in the sky."  My father told me while wiping the sweat off his forehead with a dirty cloth. "Really?" I said with worried eyebrows as I continued to stare up in the sky. My father noticed this and patted my back gently. "Yep. However, it's very rare that it could also be a sign of change. A good and very big change in life." He smiled. "We could only hope it wouldn't be bad luck, right," He chuckled. I hummed in agreement.
