Part 9 - Can I crash here?

𝙄𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙡 𝙖 𝙫𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚, "𝙔/𝙣? 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚?" It was Reiner.

My breath hitched and I stopped with my back facing Reiner. I turn around slowly, "Hey, Reiner," I laugh awkwardly while scratching the back of my neck. "Y/n, do you have any idea how late it is?" Reiner rubs his eyes, meaning he probably had just woken up. "Yeah. Uh, sorry. I just forgot my keys in my apartment and didn't know where else to go." I embarrassingly said, trying to explain myself.

I walked up the steps and asked, "Can I come in? It's kind of cold out here." I say while rubbing my arms to radiate heat. Reiners eyes widened in realisation and immediately Opened the door wider for me and stepped out of the way.

"Yeah, of course." He said.

I quickly walked into his humble home and went up to hug him, like I always do when I see him. He was in the red dressing robe that he goes to bed in. And let me say it now, It showed how insanely ripped he was. "Thank you." I whispered into his neck and he worriedly asked, "Hey, are you alright?" He rubbed his hand up and down my back to try and warm me up. I let go and sighed. "Today has just been awful." I put my palm on my forehead and Reiner went to sit on the couch as I trailed behind him. "Want to talk about it?" He asked and raised an eyebrow.

Was I stupid? Maybe. But not stupid enough to tell him I've been seeing his friend, enemy and Marley's greatest threat. Not to mention that I've stupidly kissed him on our first encounter. So I simply replied with a, "Nah, I just want to get a full night's rest."

Reiner laughed historically and began, "How did you even forget your house keys?" My head shot up and I turned red out of embarrassment. "H-hey! It's not even that funny!" I loudly said.

"Shhhh, my mom is asleep. Do you want to wake her up?" He covered my mouth with his palm while still laughing.

This is giving me deja vu. Ah, right when Eren did the same thing earlier. I started getting the same weird feeling that goes across my stomach.

Why am I always thinking about him?

"No, sorry," I mumbled in his mouth, but as for him, he heard it completely different from what I had said. "What? Oh sorry." He realised his mistake and removed his hand. "I said 'No, sorry.' What are you? Deaf?" I tried to lighten up the mood as his laughter had died down a while ago.

Out of nowhere, Reiner smirks. Before I knew it, his long fingers were already moving up and down my armpits and I burst out laughing. "No, NO! Reiner PLEASE!" I said in between laughs.

"I forgot what you look like when you laugh," He started to laugh himself and continued to tickle me, violently. By now I was laying down on my back on the couch with Reiner hovering above me. "Reiner! I can't breathe!" I tried pushing him away but to no avail.

"Your mom is gonna hear us!" I tried convincing him. This guy is such a hypocrite!

"What is going on down there?" Speak of the fucking devil.

Reiner immediately stopped his foolish actions and let me go. I internally thanked his mom for coming to my rescue. He sat up and put his finger on his mouth, literally telling me to shut the fuck up and to not mutter a word. Both our eyes watched as Mrs Karina walked down the stairs cautiously. The hall lights were off so I was hoping she couldn't see us. "Everything's fine mom, you can go back up now." Reiner got up from the couch and left me there to escort his mother back to her room.

As they went up the stairs, I could hear muffled voices and all I could do was hope that she didn't see me. That would be so awkward, especially the position we were in.
